to me, hdl isn't worth the hype but i am a sucker for hotpot nonetheless. it is definitely pretty standard and u cant rly go wrong. i personally find the soups a bit bland but that could just be me. i really enjoy the hand pulled noodles and the little xiaocais that are served at the sauce station. the beancurd dessert there as well is rly good (tastes like laoban). the cheesy sausages are good and worth it too together with their marinated beef.

chicken soup from here is one of my favs... it's light and not too herbal with nice mushrooms inside as well. the mala soup is on the spicy side and for me, too spicy to drink but was yummy when cooking the meat into it. have tried the famous collagen soup on other occasions and it taste to me like ramen collagen soup! it is rly tasty and heart warming but gets jelat at times. wld def recommend the linglingquan (fried beancurd skin) best in sg imo, the assorted meatballs (esp pork w soft bone) r rly good as well. meats are a good quality too.

a simple sashimi don w torched salmon and scallops. they are v generous with the serving of the fish, definitely a safe choice if your in the holland area. nothing spectacular but def yummy. v worth it with the burpple 1-for-1.

after trying this extremely popular dessert joint, it has easily become one of my favorite places for ice cream. the yuzu lychee was refreshing and tasted authentic while the apiary flavor with honey through it (amongst other stuff) was creamy and rich without being too much - a good mix of two flavors. hard to get a seat in this popular place though!

super creamy rich hojicha flavor in this creamy dessert. one of my fav desserts from hvala ~ def recommend when your there

always a fan of the atlas chain of waffles ... followed these waffles since its humble beginnings opposite ccab. crispy yet soft waffles and caramel isnt overly sweet. highly recommend definitely a crowd favorite

beach road prawn mee is a staple ~ super robust and flavorsome broth, rly melt in the mouth pork ribs... rly warms ur soul

tried this during circuit breaker ~ sent by a friend. my absolute fav matcha latte i've found in singapore - creamy, milky, slightly sweet, tastes like quality matcha without being overly jelat! what more could u want. the truffle fries were soggy from the delivery but tried it at the cafe before and it's rly good when fresh!

super unique tart but scrumptious! coconut cream milk top with pulut hitam in the middle with actual rice grains and finally rly buttery tart shells. highly recommend as not too sweet and it comes with additional coconut gula melaka brittle which makes it even better!

super yummy sinful dish - feel like u rly cant go wrong. mentaiko was rly good (not the super fake packaged kind) and egg was perfectly runny. gets a bit jelat towards the end though!

my go-to acai place! found this place earlier this year and what originally made me love it was the amount of cookie butter they gave ~ so generous! today's one had less than usual but still a rly solid acai. with lots of fruits like strawberries kiwis and bananas as well as goji berries and cacao nibs.
