Christmas Acai Love this chocolate acai special and hope they will make it permanent

Triple A $9.50 Fresh fruits (banana, blueberry, strawberry, dragonfruit), granola, goji berries, cocoa nibs, coconut shavings, almond butter. I like that: 1. Their fruit bowl comes with nut butter that I do not have to pay extra for. 2. Taste is always consistent - it taste the same every single time. 3. Acai is NOT: diluted, too icy, too bananey or too much like sour blueberries. 4. They are generous with the ingredients. I get a layer of nut butter, granola and banana in the middle too. 5. Fruits are not diced too finely If only the acai is less sweet. Argh. It is not so obvious when you eat it with the other ingredients but it is quite sweet when you eat it on its own. My fav used to be Haakon but the last 2 times I went it taste different?!

Nutty Party ($13.90) As the name goes, its full of nuts and granolas. Much preferred this over Triple A perhaps because I am a fan of nuts! Except that I didn’t really like the cacao nibs that was a little bitter for me. I felt that it didn’t really go well with the nutty party. Will definitely come back for this but without the cacao nibs topping! Highly recommended

Chendol Went for the chendol soft serve with just chocolate drizzle (skipped the pandan jelly and coconut). Creamy and gula melaka heavy but got too sweet halfway through. The usual toppings would’ve helped balance things out and add texture. Portion’s big too and definitely a share-with-a-friend kind of dessert 》$7

Peach yoghurt cheesecake S$ 9 Very refreshing peach flavor topped with popping boba and few slices of peach. Love the peach smell.

Turkish Delight S$ 9 Super chocolatey soft serve, pistachio custard give nutty flavor. The Turkish delight is a bit too hard.

Salmon sashimi (~$30) ⭐️ 4.5/5 ⭐️ 🍴My family’s favorite place to get fresh salmon #sashimi! Although it’s all the way at woodlands, #fassler sells high quality fresh seafood that makes the long drive down worth-it. For three big pieces of #salmon, a large portion of it being the yummy juicy salmon belly, it’s highly affordable and much cheaper than what outside restaurants offer. Only setback is you have to cut it yourself 😂. But they do also sell pre-cut pieces at a slightly higher price. Close once sold out. Very popular store here at HVC. On Google it shows they close at 3pm, but at 12pm, they already ran out of mee kia and mee pok. By 12.30pm, the shop off lights liao. So do come early to enjoy this BCM. The pig liver was good, the hand-made meatball was excellent and stands out the most prominently in terms of taste and texture. I went with a small bowl of Pig intestine side dish, and this didn't dissapoint, as it was flavourful. 👍👍

I never heard @zazzpizzasg until @juliuslim intro to me, famous for Freshly pizza using woodfire oven. We ordered signature Parma Buratta, the pizza with crispy edge with burn taste and chewy in the centre, topped with tomato based, Parma and Burrata. The Burrata can be more creamier. Beside the pizza, we also tried Braised Veel Cheek pappardelle. Finally made it to Zazz Pizza after hearing so much about their wood fired pies some time ago. Went straight for their signature Parma Burrata ($39) which comes with a tangy marinated tomato base on a fantastic pizza dough with excellent pockets of air within and the little blisters of leopard spotting around it. Topped with mozzarella , rucola, Parma ham and a globe of fresh burrata, this truly lived up to its hype. Another dish that was recommended by the staff was the Braised Veal Cheek Pappardelle ($36) that came with tender veal cheek that you can literally pull apart easily with a fork. A-grade pizza in town photos not mine cause i didnt take a pic. but i've had a lot of pizza in my life and this one is probably the best in singapore. You pay for great quality food and taste despite its mall location and uninspiring ambience.the dough is fantastic, red sauce is a must. yes this also beats Lucalis in my books. prices are what i would be willing to pay with my own money.

Dory Seafood Soup & Fried Fish Roe Must be a fuck-up. My soup tasted like ordinary fish soup, not the intense seafood soup they're famous for. Even my companion's fish soup had the usual taste. I returned it but the female cashier said all their soups are the same so it couldn't be wrong, despite mine obviously tasting different. Major disappointment. The ingredients were top-notch as usual. I would take dory over pricier fish they have. The fish roe was a mistake hahaha I hate it. I misread it as egg floss.

Really Good Fish Soup Batang with Bee Hoon + Red Grouper with Rice Jia li Seafood Soup serves up some pretty good seafood soup at kovan, at the same coffee shop as the popular breakfast club & Ng Kuan Chilli Pan Mee. The Slice batang and red grouper were fresh. Soup was pretty flavourful, maybe too salty for some. Prawns were fresh as well I actually liked the minced meat the most. 👍👍

Batang Fish Seafood Soup Comes with fish slices, chunks of handmade meatballs and prawns in fragrant and flavourful seafood soup packed with umami. They serve three different types of fish (dory, batang, red grouper) where I chose to go with batang that was fresh and firm. The prawns were big and plump while their handmade meatball was flavourful with bits and pieces of mushroom 》$8/big **They were previously known as Sin Kee seafood soup back when they were in Marsiling and have since rebranded to Jia Li seafood soup in Aljunied.

Twice-cooked Pork ($12.80) I've been a fan of this punchy dish ever since I tried it from a north Chinese stall in uni. I really like the extra umami kick the salted black beans lends this this, and the mild heat that just runs in the background. Although some of the meat slices were inconsistent in thickness, they were all tender with a pleasant bite. Wish I could trim off some of the fatty layers, but with the default use of pork belly, who am I kidding? 😅

Griddle-cooked Cabbage with Szechuan Bacon ($12.80) Extra thin pork belly slices (not bacon) wok-fried with crunchy cabbage may sound boring, but this was absolutely gob-smacking! Throw in some dried chillies, fresh chilli slices, plus just enough ground Szechuan peppers for that tingling sensation that kept this interesting till the last bite. And yes, it's unforgivably oily but also oh sooo shiok that you'll just have to keep convincing yourself that you're eating greens. Well, kind of.
