21day Dry aged burger 24++ Not sure what people are expecting but for almost 30 I expect an artisanal burger. And this definitely wasn't that. Sure the patty is much bigger and thicker than a Mac but honestly, it's some factory made nonsense, not hand formed. The texture is also way too fine, like a single emulsified product as compared to actl ground beef. There is a little bit of funk and it's juicy tho Again, depends on your expectations. If you're someone who's very happy with Mac's this is going to blow your mind.

Flat iron steak Decent steak, great sides (opt for the potato instead of the fries, comes with bacon!)

Another affordable yakiniku spot in Alexandra area! Ordered their Beef Short Plate (200g) for SGD14.90++ All in all, this didn’t disappoint at all, though the seats here can be quite cramped. Be sure to dip your meats in their wasabi BBQ sauce! SHIOK

My fav I’ve only ever had Japanese bbq at Japanese BBQ Tora, it’s my go-to. Food here was excellent as usual and it’s not as crowded as the other jap bbq joints like Yakiniku Like.

Shiok Only Yakiniku places are all the range now and I finally tried out the one at Queenstown called Japanese BBQ Tora. For the price point, the quality of meats were fantastic and I can see why people love it so much. I also like how I can grill everything to my liking. Only issue is the small — I smelled like bbq meat for the rest of the day.

Tipo Pasta Bar🍝 Went to Tipo Pasta Bar last week and ordered their Linguine (Chilli Garlic) and built my own pasta - Pink Sauce, Garlic Chips, Smoked Chicken, Swiss Brown Mushrooms ($17.90 before GST and Svc Charge)!😇 Overall ratings 8/10! Pasta was not bad but nothing too fancy🥹 Flavour of the pasta itself mentions chilli garlic too but it dosen't taste like it (staff did mention that the flavour is very mild tho haha) Would visit again only if I am craving for pasta😅

Pasta! Visited Tipo Pasta Bar for the first time! Realised that their pasta menu is actually very similar to Tipo Strada! Both outlets have the build your own pasta menu! The only slight differences for the pasta menu is the fixed bowl where their selections are slightly different! Here is what I tried this time round: -Absolute Alfredo for Gemelli (parsley pasta) [$17.90++]: Love their creamy white sauce! This came with swiss brown mushrooms and chicken (which was more like steamed chicken to me than "smoked chicken") -Build your own pasta: Linguine Chilli Garlic Pasta + Aglio Olio + White Clams [$14.4++]: Free toppings were included and we added ALL and it was a WRONG choice lol! The toppings added were chilli flakes, extra virgin olive oil, garlic chips and birds eye chilli. The addition of the birds eye chilli and chilli flakes plus it was a chilli garlic pasta SUPER FIERY! I couldn't stomach more than 3 scoops of it whoops! Lesson learnt, just stick to adding garlic chips only the next time!

Strawberry Rose You can’t leave Swish Rolls without getting a swiss roll. They also offered a few different flavours of swiss roll as well, on top of other pastries. I like the soft texture of the rose sponge with cream in the middle.

Pistachio Croon This was the trending viral recently when they first started to sell it here. A croissant in circular-shaped filled with filling inside. They offered a few different flavours and I got the pistachio. Stuffed with generous filling of pistachio and cream inside. The butter croissant remain the crispy texture. Do eat it slowly as the filling inside would flood out.

Slow breakfast cafe Take it slow this weekend and treat yourself to a leisurely brunch at Slow Bakes. This hidden gem, located near KTPH, offers a picturesque view of the reservoir, creating the perfect ambiance for heart-to-heart conversations with your friends or family. Slow Bakes specializes in bread and beverages only, and we couldn't resist ordering a variety of bread to sample, with nothing priced above $5 each. The Matcha Bread with almond butter spread allows you to choose the type of bread that pairs with the jam. The almond butter spread is authentically rich, while the bread carries a subtle hint of matcha, though it can be a bit dry. The Chocolate Hazelnut bread not only smells divine but also features a dark chocolate hazelnut spread, making it surprisingly not too sweet. This was my personal favorite among all the bread options. On the other hand, the Cheese Poto seems like a standard cheesy bun with a small amount of melted cheese and wouldn't make it to my recommendation list. The Cinnamon roll, on the other hand, is delicious as it strikes the right balance between sweetness and a bread-like texture. Big Breakfast Set | $18 love the ambience! seeing a couple of good reviews, i wished i enjoyed the food more here! the set came w 4 soft boiled eggs, 4 slices of toast with spread & 2 drinks. whilst i really wanted myself to enjoy the food, i found their offerings (though unique) unimpressive. with the exception of their barn-laid eggs and berries jam, which was a big yes from my tastebuds.

Hopscotch Review 📍Hopscotch (Gardens By The Bay) Fav was the baby back ribs [$26] and the calamari rings [$12]. Ribs were tender and very flavorful and the calamari rings were just fries to perfection😍😍🥰first time trying it with sweet chilli and i love ittttt. Rest of the mains were alright but wouldnt come again if there was no burpple 1-1. Portion for beef bourguignon[$26] was superrrrr tiny tho, think they only gave like 3 pcs… Anyways very fancy place and can take a stroll at GBTB after dinner heh

Garlic Steak $30 Pricey, low grade beef and not fantastic

Guinness Beef Bourguignon ($26) I found a small piece of broken plastic in my dish towards the end of my meal. Not sure if I just ingested a bowl of melted plastic. It’s a safety issue, so I just wanted to put it out here. I nicely told the staff about it - and they told me that I didn’t need to use the Burpple 1-for-1 deal as compensation, since this dish would be free. Don’t really understand how that’s a compensation since the dish was going to be free anyway with the deal. 😅 I verbalised that there was no difference, but no alternatives were offered. Didn’t want to kick up a big fuss since there was a family with children beside our table, so I left it, and here I am writing a negative review. I thought the situation could’ve been handled better - it was slightly unpleasant that they spoke as if their compensation was great, when it didn’t make a difference to me at all. Food was actually okay if not on the pricier side, but I guess after this experience I don’t have the best impression of how this restaurant is ran.

Cheap and Good! $3.50 for 2 Veg 1 Meat + curry is really delicious! Whole dish tasted reealllly fresh! Highly recommend the pork cutlet. EXtremely crispy yet juicy and tender. Unlike most fried meat you get outside, the pork cutlet had more meat than flour! ~~85% meat. Auntie was very generous with the portion of meat too! YUM

Curry Rice Begins With Curry Pork chop, lion's head, otah, cabbage. The curry used here is so rich it puts many curry rice stalls to shame. Also worth mentioning is the addictive chilli sauce. The other ingredients were okay lah.

Top Right: Mochi Mochi Cheese 9/10 $2.70 each Ooo I love this though my Dad said it tasted plain. The bread was really huge. $2.70 for breakfast + teabreak. Really worth it. The bread itself was also quite addictive imo. Something about it that I cant describe that made the taste of the bread really interesting. Maybe it is the hint of sourness from the cheese. Hmmm Anyhow, this is one I would definitely buy again. I was actually hesitant to grab the mochi mochi cheese as it didn’t look very appetising. Eventually convinced myself that I should give it a try since it was the top5 bestselling bread. Definitely did not disappoint. Also turned out to be the winner of the 3/4 bread I tried! 🎉🎉 Bottom left: Jikasei Matcha Cream Pan 7.5/10 $2.20 each Extremely generous with its matcha filling. Filling also tasted a little eggy. Enjoyed this and it was quite addictive. But oddly, this is not something I would crave for. Probably because it was not very matcha-ish and was rather more egg-ish. Matcha langue de chat Visited Gokoku again, but this time at Jurong Point outlet! Making it a point to try out a different bread each time on my visit! This time round, I tried the Matcha Langue De Chat ($2), which is like a coffee bun, but without the butter in the middle! The exterior was covered in sweet crispy matcha cookie crust wih white chocolate chips, and with a fluffy airy bread in the middle! Best to eat it warmed! Tip: They offer 10 cents discount if you do not take their plastic bag! (haha I did not know about this and my reflex action was too slow to read the sign when I already said yes to plastic bag oppsie! To note for my future trips!)

Peanut Shio Butter Pan ($2.20) The shio pan kinda tastes like a croissant, except a non-flaky one. It has a very buttery, almost pastry-like taste to it. The amount of peanut butter inside is ehhhhh. Could be better. Though that could also just be my fat ass talking. I'm used to being spoiled by breads that are stuffed to the brim with filling ok, so the amount of pb in here wasnt all that satisfactory for the price but whateverrr I accept it. The pb is really sweet, probably the sweetest pb I've ever had! It's soft and the peanut taste isn't super strong cuz of the sweetness but it's still soso delicious. This was a super solid bread, definitely doesn't taste healthy cuz of the butteriness and the sweetness but hey, life is all about enjoying what you eat and I enjoyed this so if you're a peanut butter and cow butter lover, give this a try and I'll manifest a well-stuffed shio pan for you 😇 ⭐ Rating: 8.9/10 sugared peanuts 🤑 worth the price: yes 🦖 would I buy again: yes 💍 would I marry: yes
