The heat we had to endure as we made our way here was worth it. We ordered the Banana French Toast & Crispy Bacon ($13.9) as well as the Scrambled Eggs & Croissant w Smoked Salmon ($14.9). Everything about the French Toast worked for me! On the contrary, the smoked salmons tend to be too salty for me but to be fair, that's always the case for smoked salmons. It is really quiet and relaxing for weekday afternoon breaks!

The Matcha Cheesecake ($6.5) had too much going on - a strong taste of matcha paired with heavy creamy-cheese. The Red Velvet had no saving grace either, with its texture being too rough and stiff you could call it a cookie. However the Mochorange (Mocha+Orange) drink was really tasty and it reminds me of this certain chocolate snack which is sold at Marks&Spencers. Cake Take: 4/10. *But the staff were really pleasant and friendly!

My Scallop Salad (approx $28/incl. gst) which consist of 5 fresh scallops drizzled in this highly appetizing dressing was every cent worth. This place definitely charges more as compared to your usual cafes, but they promise you one of the best, if not decent quality. I enjoyed my experience here and our meal for two was approx $100.

Their homemade ice cream are mostly more on the milky-creamy side. Must try flavors that makes them stand out from other ice cream parlors would be blueberry-cheese, watermelon, and the honey lavender! They also have some premium flavors which contains alcohol/Mao Shan Wang durian which just screams to be eaten! Pssst. 1/2 price waffles happens every Tuesday and 1-for-1 ice cream on Wednesdays!

What I really like about this cafe is that the baristas are really friendly and most willing to customize your drink the way you want it. The Eggs Benedict ($13.5) was just perfection during my first visit but the standard dropped during my subsequent patronage. There's also a nice swing there where people love to take pictures of themselves. So go ahead and let loose!

Head down to PasarBella where you'll find many interesting stalls selling artisan kitchenware as well as a whole variety of food ranging from your usual cafe picks to delicious pork knuckle! We grabbed the cold brew from Dutch Colony ($6.5) during our mid-break and tried out the adorable Macarons ($4.5) from Bonheur Patisserie. They were really cute but a tad sweet.

The decor of the place was pretty, and it feels as though you're living in your very own cottage. We only had desserts and Crispy Fries ($5) here but it was comfort food indeed.

This cafe features a humble art space where you can indulge in a cup of coffee while creating art on canvas. That's marrying two of my favorite things together. Their all-day breakfast was bold, definitely filling and satisfying. (Approx $24/pax)

Most of us know that this place boasts delicious pies, but they also do serve a variety of main course that were quite a hit for us. Enough said, make the trip down yourself as I promise that it wouldn't disappoint. (Approx $45 for two)

Living within close proximity to this cafe, I've made several trips down here to get a caffeine boost and chill out with my friends. The petit Gula Melaka cake ($1.9) was heated up before serving and there was this melt-in-your-mouth experience. Who said you had to splurge to enjoy the goodness of cakes? The selection of tea was pretty interesting too!

We stumbled upon this place by chance and decided to pop in since we were already in the vicinity! It was a nice quiet afternoon during my visit - great for a day of relaxation but I heard that the furnishings of the place have undergone some changes and the place is pretty packed these days! This cafe features cute housing-wares that you could browse-through and purchase too. (Approx $25/pax)

Traditional goodness with a twist. This cafe features a range of familiar local favorites and the whole experience is enhanced with its old-school appearance as it started out as a provision shop back in 1958. Nolstagic much. The Nutella drink ($5) was decent but a little plain. I was hoping for something more thick and rich in taste. I had their Eggs Royale ($14.9) for my main. No photos of it as my hunger won.
