Located at 220 East Coast Rd, Singapore 428917. They serves yummy crispy freshly fried curry puff! Big and cheap, filling is full and very flavourful. Crust is awesome, quite similar to A1 curry puff! Nasi Lemak caught our ๐. Itโs $4.50 a plate, comes with sunshine egg, fried chicken wing and ikan billis! Their rice has a very fragrant coconut smell! Texture is a little towards soft which we likes! Sunshine egg is runny and not too oily. Chicken wing is well seasoned and fried, very tasty! Chilli is so good, slightly spicy but still manageable.. Great Nasi Lemak๐๐ผ, we enjoyed so much! #hungryunicornsg #soonsoonhuatcurrypuff #soonsoonhuat #nasilemak
Mum and I had been eyeing on this aesthetically pleasing Nasi Lemak from @kampungkia_nasilemak.sg for a while, until they finally decided to expand their delivery areas. Food came delivered in boxes with handwritten messages and drawing which was pretty heartwarming. Infused with blue butterfly pea flower, the fluffy rice exuded a light coconut milk aroma while the sambal chili was a real bomb. Highly recommended to pair it with the rice. Spiciness of otah was on point even though it was slightly lacking on smokiness and fishiness. Alongside the rice was also the chicken wing, whose meat was pretty firm. Served with the accompaniment of peanut, ikan bilis, cucumber and a sunny side up with a runny yolk. We all agreed that the portion was truly generous.
Check out their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/kampungkianasilemak/ for their daily delivery schedule. Minimum $20 order, $5 delivery charge for orders below $35.

Carrying on her dadโs Simpang Bedok Nasi Lemak legacy, second generation hawker Charlene now runs Tree Coconut Nasi Lemak at Berseh Food Centre with her own recipe.
Hits and misses as the fluffy rice lacked an impactful taste although it rendered a mild coconut milk aroma. A dollop of the slightly sweet sambal chili would help though! The ikan bilis and peanuts, however, left a greater impression as they remained crispy and play an important role in texture contrast, even after a long ride to Jurong. I canโt do without them in my Nasi Lemak! The handmade otah was surprisingly not as spicy as I thought, smooth in terms of consistency but I would preferred a stronger fishy taste and some chargrilled edges. While the fried chicken wing had a crispy batter and rather juicy, I missed the taste of tumeric, perhaps a more popular choice of spice used in the Malay style fried chicken. Now what was interesting was the achar, never expected it would be this potently spicy that would just have kept churning the heat in our tummies non-stop. ๐ฅต
The 2 young ladies at Tree Coconut are offering islandwide delivery at a standard price of $6. Do check them out on Facebook for ordering. They are facing overwhelming orders so do expect some delay in response and remember to place your order in advance to avoid disappointment!

NASI LEMAK!
Over here @nasilemakayamtaliwang , besides the normal chicken wing sets, there are different varieties of Ayam available here like the Ayam Taliwang, Ayam Balado, Ayam Cabe ljo. Since itโs my visit I decided to opt for the chicken and Mackerel set plus fish! It was really indeed simple and tasty! Would really love to try the other varieties in my next visit! Now, if only I can have 3 additional tummies to fit all the other Ayam!

Much similar to the Swim Like A Fish Fillet set here, Fly Like A Chicken comes with the same components (sunny side up, peanuts, chili, cucumber, Ikan Bilis) with the exception of the chicken wing that replaces the fish fillets.
Again, the rice was on the starchy side and would definitely work better being fluffier โ the other condiments also being rather decent but not particularly outstanding, being the sweet chili that could probably do a little less wet and also with a dimension of savouriness, the sunny side up which could be better with a flowy egg yolk instead of the solid yolk. That being said, the chicken Wing was excellently fried; crisp on the exterior, juicy and tender inside with evident flavours of turmeric used in its marination โ quite delicious. Pretty decent eat at $5.80 if one is in the area.
Queues move fairly quickly here, and very soon you'll find yourself seated, with a generously-portioned plate of Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng Berempah ($12.80). The crispy and juicy chicken thigh is the star of the show, featuring runny sunny side up and fragrant coconutty rice as excellent supporting cast members. Pair that with the sweet but kicky sambal and you're golden. End the meal with their delish Cendol ($3.80) that sees finely shaved ice topped with freshly squeezed coconut milk, homemade pandan rice flour jelly and just enough gula melaka to balance out the milkiness.

Open from 5pm to 7am daily, round the gang up for a late night feast at this popular supper haunt in Sembawang. Their Nasi Lemak costs $4.90 for rice and three sides โ think economic rice but with fluffy aromatic coconut rice. Pick and choose from their array of side dishes such as ngoh hiang, spicy stir-fried long beans and sambal brinjal. Look out for their delightfully crunchy ikan kuning as well as their succulently crispy chicken wings that will leave you wanting more ($1.20 for an extra one!).

Journey to the west for this stall in Boon Lay. The rice here is good enough to have alone with their sweet and spicy sambal โ served warm, with the perfect amount of moisture. However, the Nasi Lemak Chicken Set ($3.50) elevates the basics with a chunky, juicy chicken wing fried to a delightful golden-brown, a fried egg with an oozy yolk and anchovies. If you're feeling peckish, add a begedil ($0.50) or otah ($1.50).

Although one would usually think of chains like Mrs Pho or So Pho when you think of Vietnamese food, ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ช๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐ฃ๐๐ข๐๐จ๐ ๐พ๐ช๐๐จ๐๐ฃ๐ is a hidden gem that the real Vietnamese in Singapore go to.
I feel that you can judge a good Vietnamese eatery based on the quality of their pho, so I ordered a bowl of ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐ก ๐ฝ๐๐๐ ๐พ๐ค๐ข๐๐ค ๐๐๐ค (Phแป Dแบทc Biแปt, $8.90) to see for myself. The Special Beef Combo is like a zhnged-up version of your usual beef pho, with slices of beef, beef brisket and a raw egg that you can whisk in and cook in your piping hot soup.
Another item on Long Phungโs menu was the ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ฎ ๐ฝ๐๐๐ ๐๐ค๐ค๐๐ก๐๐จ (Hแปง Tiแบฟu Bรฒ Kho, $7.90), which caught my eye because itโs something quite special that you donโt usually find in other Vietnamese restaurants (at least, not in Singapore). The spicy beef stew is richly flavoured, and I could taste hints of spices like star anise. The beef was incredibly delicious, generous and fall-apart tender.
Of course, whatโs a meal at a Vietnamese restaurant without Vietnamese Coffee? I ordered a hot and iced ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐ฃ๐๐ข๐๐จ๐ ๐พ๐ค๐๐๐๐ (Cร Phรช Phin Sแปฏa Dรก/Dรณng, $4), both of which were rich and chocolatey, a perfect blend of aromatic Robusta coffee and creamy sweetened condensed milk. I especially love how they serve the hot coffee with the drip, just like in Vietnam.
I made a video on the ๐ฝ๐๐จ๐ฉ ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐ฃ๐๐ข๐๐จ๐ ๐๐ค๐ค๐ ๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ฅ๐ค๐ง๐, featuring Long Phung versus Mrs Pho. Check it out on YouTube now, so you can find out which is the best Vietnamese restaurant to go to! https://youtu.be/RQR_kX7VOY8
Bun Ho Hue/ Spicy beef noodles soup ($9.90++):
Soup is just very slightly spicy. The noodles are cooked just right. The beef meat is slightly tough today. Beef balls are well marinaded and bouncy. Overall, still quite a decent bowl of noodles soup
Geylang Lor 44 (Grandlink Sq): Long-standing & popular, since the time i used to live there which was more than 10-11 yrs ago ๐ฑ๐จ Some deem this to be THE place for the best Vietnamese food - probably for SG's standards as not many strong contenders in Viet food scene. For me it's okay only but it sure has it's merits! It's one of my fav cuisines so i'm *tough* when it comes to Viet food.

Pros: Highly affordable. Extensive menu. Outdoor is beside a river, lovely at night (but polluted & not romantic during daytime ๐). Nice drinks!! Food is generally tasty. Stewed beef is really tender! Glad they sell small pho soup separately. Good for a nice quick-lunch sort of place.
๐
Cons: Crowded & long q during dinner. If you like tasting MSG, salt & copius amts of fish sauce. Beef brisket in standard pho is dry & chewy (so is everywhere else. I don't order beef pho for this reason, even tho i love the soup)
