Red Bean Pancake ($8) (Part 8 of 8) This is a very rustic version of the dish and incomparable to the one I had at YAN聽@ National Gallery. The skin could have been crispier and more intact with a greater portion of sesame seeds evenly distributed on top. Their red bean filling was thick but somehow felt that it overwhelmed the outer pancake layers at times, inconsistent red bean to dough ratio. It's still a great way to end off the meal though, washing it all down with a cup of warm Chinese Tea. Special Chai Poh Omelette ($16 for Large) (Part 7 of 8) Fluffy, crunchy (From the deep-fried bits below), full of flavour, sinful and satisfying. Apart from wishing that this gave you no calories or that it was offered in a buffet, there's nothing more you can expect really. Salted Egg Yolk Prawns ($26 for Medium) (Part 6 of 8) There was a strong aroma of salted egg wafting through the air right above the dish, causing me to steal a piece almost immediately after it was served. Unfortunately, my first impression wasn't quite as good as the coating of salted egg that I got was bland. After a few more pieces though, I realised that there was indeed some that had a flavourful crust to it with loads of flavour matching the strong aroma it was giving off. So there was some inconsistency in the distribution of flavours but a tremendous plus point for me would be their plump, juicy and moist prawns which I was pleasantly surprised to discover, especially considering how the exterior remained crisp and crunchy. Pork Tomahawk Cooked 2 Ways ($85.90) This tastes just as good as it looks!! 馃槏馃槏 Highlight of the dish has got to be the thiccc juicy strip of pork with such a succulent layer of fat - really so so good omg. Along with 2 substantial stacks of tonkatsu pork, this dish was actually really filling for 2 pax! (Good for 2-3 pax imo!) Came with 4 different sauces - house made brown sauce, chili sauce and scallion sauce, with tartar sauce too for the tonkatsu pork! Fantastic service with attentive servers who patiently explained components of the dish and restaurant was homely - perfect for families! Sides of vegetable and potato wedges were pretty average, but the meat was definitely the star of the show. Esp with eatigo鈥檚 50%, definitely do give this a try 馃憤馃徎馃憤馃徎

Craft Beers They have very interesting craft beers going for $9. We tried the mango and white peaches beer (rabbits image). The mango beer was sweet and the white peaches beer had a strong sour after taste. Prefers the mango one (tall one at the back). Both were light. Besides their pasta, all their mains falls on the expensive side. Given how secluded it is, I will only come back when someone drives. This is also not the kind of place that you would crave for the food and come back to.

Mentaiko Seafood Pasta Mentaiko pasta were okay, nothing very memorable but well done. The pasta was al dente and ingredients were generous. The Mentaiko sauce was flavourful but not too rich nor creamy. This place is super ulu / secluded. Only viable of you drive.

Omelette Fried Rice 18++ Another choice off the beaten track and another jackpot. This is again one of the dishes that i would never order in a restaurant, due to my preconceptions about how it could possibly taste. Really brings to mind the scenes from shokugeki no soma when erina challenges her father's stubborn conception of "ideal Cuisine", that taste different from what a certain dish usually taste like and lead to incredible results. The fried rice was pretty decent, though it's not really like other great Fried rice I've had. Egg was on point as well, and the sauce was well balanced and not too much such that it doesnt soak thru the rice. A must-try, simply cos it's not really like normal and is actually good

Award Winning Garlic Pork 20++(S) The sauce looks like the kind i would hate, but dayum it was superb. Slightly viscous, and full of umami, it's a far cry from Traditional pork belly with Minced garlic but it's really undeniably good. A must-try here, and a decent portion(though considering the price, that's to be expected)

Seafood Veggie Soup 18++ Something i definitely wouldnt order by myself, but since we dk what to order, and the waitress recommended it, plus my friend was down with flu, this happened. IDK WHY BUT EVERYTHING HERE IS BETTER THAN EXPECTED. The soup was surprisingly enjoyable and not Plain, while the seafood was of a very satisfactory quality too. Noodles were great, the Thin slightly chewy kind of ramen. Dont get me wrong, this is a solid dish, but idk if i would recommend if other Noodle dishes they have can outperform expectations similarly.

Pan Seared Norwegian Salmon ($22) The dish was done well and served with several boiled vegetables on the side, giving it a very wholesome flavour. The skin was crispy although the meat was a little bit on the well done side. It was still soft but a little tougher than my liking. It was still adequate given the deal.

Duck Confit Duck confit at S$ 22 is really yummy. The duck confit is crispy and the accompanying pumpkin mash is interesting. Got it at half the price with Burpple Beyond's 1-for-1 deal. Love the ambience here and it was quiet for a Monday night. My partner ate the beef stew which was delicious too. The beef is soft and the red wine stew matched perfectly with the crispy toast.

Pan-Seared Salmon, Duck Confit And Truffle Fries First of all, we entered the place and were chased away from a table as a lady said she had the table booked, despite it not having any signs of reservation. The staff were not helpful at all. Second, the food was SEVERELY OVERPRICED. For the price I was paying, I honestly expected much better food.... the salmon was tasteless. The duck was so bad and the pumpkin mash was like baby food. Their portions were so small and cost us $22 each?! Truffle fries didn鈥檛 even have the truffle taste and yet they charge $10? Furthermore, I didn鈥檛 like the ambience. It was messy and this place is seriously not recommended for dates. This is honestly one of the worst places I鈥檝e ever eaten at. It was the F1 weekend and couldn鈥檛 use our Burpple Beyond, which made things worse as the meal was not worth $59.40.
