Human style dishes Came to try their hunan speciality dishes. Wanted to see if it’s as good as Xiang Xiang Hunan style chilli stir fried pork — not bad love tbh dish. (Similar to the one at Xiang Xiang) There was a coupon for one for one snacks and we got both. The spring roll is average but the glutinous rice cake is quite decent.

Aburi mentai salmon ($28), shrooms wagyu burg ($25) +$2 for the mentai, generous portion. Salmon was grilled to perfection, tender w crispy skin. Meat was thick too. Free sides only include green salad & fries under Burpple deals. Wagyu beef was juicy.

overall a good burpple deal🍔🍟 fries (+$2 change to sweet potato fries) were really crispy and the burger was damn substantial, though the bacon made it too salty🥓 and the Wagyu patty could use more seasoning. but i really liked the sauce in the burger and the buttered buns were toasted well! i got the Pin Bunker ($26) which was literally spilling cheese😍🧀🤤 and came with even MORE (nacho) cheese on the side. ambience was nice too (only in the day because it's beside Ark11😀)

1 for 1 mains pasta was a bit salty, but good service!! 👍🏻

Truffle pasta was to die for The cafe is located at the basement of maplewood, by the poolside. Ambience was quiet and it really allowed me to just chill with my friend. Ordered the truffle pasta which was to-die-for. Was rich in flavour and portion was just nice.

Piña Colada ($18++) A tropical mix of light rum, coconut cream, pineapple, and lime, intended to deliver a smooth, creamy, and refreshing taste. However, it was a letdown, as the coconut and pineapple flavours felt negligible.

Grilled Flat Iron Steak with Chimichurri Sauce I'm not that familiar with this cut but it's not bad. A little rare especially with the jus but I could accept. Overall sour due to the chimichurri. The fries were perfect.

Shrimp Scampi Spaghetti Kinda simplistic compared to other dishes we've had here.

1-for-1 Wagyu Ribeye Set Very pleasantly surprised to see that this hot pot restaurant in my hood offered 1-for-1 deals on Burpple! Opted for the 1-for-1 set for dinner with my family (4 pax), and we had the option to choose other sets to make up the 2nd set. Each set comes with the choice of 1 soup, vegetable platter, choice of carbs. Here’s what we ordered: • Wagyu Ribeye Set • Pork Belly Set • Chicken slices (half portion) • Wagyu Ribeye (half portion) • USA Short Rib (half portion) • Pork Belly (half portion) • Quail eggs • Lemon water chestnut Soup bases: Chicken Mushroom, Fish Soup with Milk The meats are served shabu shabu style, which are quite thinly sliced and cooks fast in the soup. All the meats that we had are very tender and good! There is a free flow sauce bar with a variety of condiments, side dishes and fruits to pair with your hotpot experience. Both soups that we ordered were very flavourful and we enjoyed the hot pot experience very much! Our total bill came up to be ~$122 so I wouldn’t say that the Burpple deal made it very affordable. But for the experience, I would recommend giving it a try!

wagyu ribeye set $50.99 if using any bank card or foodie app promo, it is compulsory to order this $50.99 set and u can choose the same or other set meal (chicken/pork collar/wagyu beef) as the free one. aircon is really strong difficult to get staff's attention wide variety of sauces and condiments but not constantly topped up soup base is not very flavourful

Western Otah Cutlet Rice The portions were sufficient and after the promotions, it’s very worth it to come here.

Black Kut Teh Lion Mane Hotpot ($16.90) I use 1 for 1 burpple voucher for main dish to redeem. I opt out noodle for side dish. But I felt that not much "pepper" taste as opt out for less spicy in flavour. They give a lot of ingredients inside hotpot such as lettuce, fungi mushroom, lion mane, tofu and sliced carrots. I did enjoy the experience for mini hotpot while they cooked ingredients to the boil. Their you tiao was quite crispy and can dip into the soup broth.

Pesto pasta Not a fan of the pesto sauce, tastes too nutty and not really of Basil. Also not a fan of the mushroom used and it’s a little too thick. Just not a fan of this pasta — will probably order another dish next time. However, with burpple deal - got two mains for$20.65 which is a great deal. Food portion is on the small side too. Especially for the location of this place. Will come back

Eggplant miso on bread Very unique flavoured topping on crisp bread. Love it!

Double Mushroom Always love the lovely bites here. This is packed with mushrooms - very tasty even for breakfast. Pairs with a lemonade drink on the Burpple 1-1.

Worst steak | Avoid Poorly executed steak - ordered a medium but steak doneness was more like medium-rare (service staff / boss couldn't even tell which was the medium steak when we asked - he probably didn't even note to cook this as a medium?) Steak was also tough and chewy, definitely one of the poorer steaks around. Truffles fries had no truffle taste, and mashed potato had a weird texture. Was also told we couldn't use burpple but staff eventually relented when we shared that the app allows it. Was a terrible piece of steak and not worth the calories imo (not even a 1for1 deal will make it platable). Will not return. + saw that the shop has drastically shrank / downsized from its previous 2 storefronts to its small shop now, the quality and attitude of the shop owner is probably the reason why. ++ saw two poor souls who walked in after us and were misled into believing that burpple wasn't available for redemption when it clearly was. And then was sold into paying for a Wagyu flight meal.

Tenderloin | $40.50 A small restaurant located along the busy street opposite i12 Katong, Stirling Steaks served up one mean steak. Went for the tenderloin which was executed well, a nice sear that was delicately marinated, and unsurprisingly, very tender. The side of truffle fries were a tad too oily, but still delicious. Would definitely come back here with the Burpple 1-for-1 deal - so worth it! Rate:🌟🌟🌟🌟

Affordable steaks at a friendly little place Though I’m not in the area often, if I feel like steak I always consider this charming little place. High quality steaks at affordable price. On this visit though, the prices had gone slightly higher ( but still pretty good), but was a little disappointed that it had lost the char that I loved so much. This was the place that made me restart my burpple membership. Super duper worth it with the Burpple 1-for-1!
