Truly THE King Of Fried Rice. Each rice grain is separated and fried perfectly, coated with the right amount of oil and fragrance from the egg and wokhey! The pork chop’s seasoning is on point as well, with an umami soy sauce note.
A super aesthetic and tasty dish at Bearded Bella- Pancake. Bacon. Flight. Magic. While its presentation is top-notched, the star of the dish is actually the pancakes! Maple-infused, fluffy hot cakes with just the right amount of sweetness. You can pair it with their barbecue butter or onion jam but I prefer eating it alone!
The bacons also come in three different flavors- maple glazed, paprika spiced and bacon back!
Tried the Wandan Red Bean Fresh Milk w Oolong and was very impressed by how much it tasted like our childhood favorite!
We recommend getting 25% sugar for that authentic 紅豆冰 taste. We couldn’t exactly taste the oolong though
I was mind blown by how beautiful the place was. Completely covered in an assortment of flowers, with subtle waves of floral fragrance in the air. Even the food looked amazing and tasted pretty good for the price too (don’t forget you’re paying for the ambiance too!) We recommend the Tiramisu Soufflé Pancake ($20) 🥞
Used the 1-for-1 promotion at Tokidon. It’s a small restaurant with a selected menu. Being the truffle whore I am, I dived straight into the Truffle Tender Don. I was definitely impressed by the aroma wafting in the air, tempting me to take a bite before I was done with the photos. One of my biggest concerns with rice bowl is the surplus of sauce which I feel ruins the overall flavor of the dish, but there wasn’t such an issue here. The only complaint I have is that the beef was slightly dry. It was still tender, just not juicy enough!
Was utterly disappointed at this dish! One look at the questionable crust, and we already knew that something was amiss. An uncanny resemblance to instant microwaveable pizza, the crust was hard and dry, the tomato sauce way too sour and most importantly, the lack of the aromatic and earthy truffle aroma.
The patty had absolutely no color on it! Not to mention, the bun was dry and stale. It would barely be an exaggeration to say that it felt like swallowing sandpaper. The fries tasted rather stale as well.
Ordered the Turkey Classic ($18), Cubano ($15) and Kimchi Grilled Cheese ($14)
Turkey Classic ($18) requires a huge mouth to eat graciously but other than that, it was a price-worthy sandwich. Thick, juicy cuts of turkey with generous slices of bacon. However, if it’s cold cut so if you’re looking for a warm, freshly baked sandwich then this might not be your cup of tea.
Absolutely loved the Cubano’s ($15) texture and taste. The ciabatta bread was light and crispy and its bland taste acts as the perfect canvas for the robust and rich mexican flavors of the pulled pork shoulder, cheese and salsa filling.
I wished the Kimchi Grilled Cheese ($14) would have a smaller kimchi to cheese ratio as the kimchi was way too overpowering, masking the creaminess and saltiness of the cheese. But it was a rather interesting try nonetheless
