3 types of Thai boat noodles: Tom Yum / Beef / Pork. $1.80 for a mini bowl and $6 for the regular sized.

Verdict: Flavorful & rich broth is so good, and gets even better when you mix it up with some fish sauce, peanuts, lime juice and Thai chili powder!

A beautiful mess. Rice piled with curry, braised sauce, crispy thin fried pork, braised pork belly, cabbage and topped off with a yummy fried egg. Love it that they added a dash of dark soy sauce on the fried egg.

It may look messy but definitely the best Hainanese Curry Rice I’ve ever had. Long queues during peak hours but the experienced “production line” ensures you get your food quickly!

Delicious & tender fried chicken. The batter on the fried chicken was light and flavorful, portion was a lil small but for a normal eater it should be just enough together with the waffles. Waffles is not the star of the dish, it didn’t wow, but it didn’t make me not want to eat it either. The warm maple butter is to-die-for! Ties the whole dish together really well with that sweet & savory combination.

It’s not an out of this world gastronomical dish, but it’s good enough to warrant a try for anyone.

I don’t eat much Indian rojak, but this is easily one of the best I’ve tasted and I’ve had it more than once. The items there always look fresh and tastes good!

The fish here is always fresh, choose from a wide variety of fishes they have! Today we went for the red garoupa steamed teochew-style. Honestly with fish that fresh it will taste good cooked in any style!

Other zhi char dishes are also pretty awesome! Notably the prawn fritters, bittergourd fried egg, and hei bee hiam!

One of the best kway chap in Singapore! The texture & bite of the “kway”, drowned in the slurplicious braise sauce, perfect! A wonderful combination with the flavorful braised meat & innard that has none of that weird “porky smell”. Watch out for queues during peak hours on weekends!

Juicy, succulent & great flavors. Love the smokiness that comes with every bite of the chicken. Good enough to give Nando’s a run for its money. As compared to Nando’s, Oporto is a fast food rather than a casual dining restaurant. At a lower price point, it’s definitely a place to satisfy your flame grilled chicken craving. Fries are pretty standard, my only complain is that the portion of the 1/4 chicken will leave you wanting more, so big eaters might wanna go for a bigger portion.

Croissant is buttery, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The spicy tuna mayo is normal but good. Really love the croissant. Serves decent coffee. A good place to pop by during midweek as seatings are limited during weekends. Must come for the fresh bread and pastries!

Super affordable Japanese rice bowls. I’m a huge lover of mentaiko so at $8.80 this is a steal. Decent piece of salmon and topped with a generous portion of mentaiko mayo.

The salmon I had was a little overcooked as it was a tad bit dry, but the mentaiko mayo made it palatable and I wish the rice was those pearly Japanese grains which is usually served in restaurants.

At this price tag, I’m not complaining. It tastes good, portion is decent, definitely better quality than most Japanese cuisines you find in other coffee shops or food courts.

Healthy & guilt-free western-style “cai fan”. Tastes good and natural with a good variety of meat and fish selection! You can also go vegetarian by ordering their Veg Lite option.

Plus the place is pretty chill on a weekday with WiFi and power points for people working on-the-go.

Crispy tempura drizzled with their umami sauce. The standard Kohaku Tendon comes with generous portions of chicken, shrimps, squid, baby corn, pumpkin, crab stick, mushroom & long beans.

I went with the spicy version but I didn’t get much of the spiciness that I was hoping for.

You can also choose between their Hokkaido Nanatsuboshi rice or the multigrain rice as a healthier option.

Overall worth queueing for, as this is one of my favorite Tendon places to come to!
