A beautiful mess. Rice piled with curry, braised sauce, crispy thin fried pork, braised pork belly, cabbage and topped off with a yummy fried egg. Love it that they added a dash of dark soy sauce on the fried egg.
It may look messy but definitely the best Hainanese Curry Rice I’ve ever had. Long queues during peak hours but the experienced “production line” ensures you get your food quickly!
I don’t eat much Indian rojak, but this is easily one of the best I’ve tasted and I’ve had it more than once. The items there always look fresh and tastes good!
The fish here is always fresh, choose from a wide variety of fishes they have! Today we went for the red garoupa steamed teochew-style. Honestly with fish that fresh it will taste good cooked in any style!
Other zhi char dishes are also pretty awesome! Notably the prawn fritters, bittergourd fried egg, and hei bee hiam!
One of the best kway chap in Singapore! The texture & bite of the “kway”, drowned in the slurplicious braise sauce, perfect! A wonderful combination with the flavorful braised meat & innard that has none of that weird “porky smell”. Watch out for queues during peak hours on weekends!
Super affordable Japanese rice bowls. I’m a huge lover of mentaiko so at $8.80 this is a steal. Decent piece of salmon and topped with a generous portion of mentaiko mayo.
The salmon I had was a little overcooked as it was a tad bit dry, but the mentaiko mayo made it palatable and I wish the rice was those pearly Japanese grains which is usually served in restaurants.
At this price tag, I’m not complaining. It tastes good, portion is decent, definitely better quality than most Japanese cuisines you find in other coffee shops or food courts.
