During weekdays, Chef Koji does a very good value $88++ sushi course for lunch.
He starts you off with a mixed green salad before proceeding to carefully craft and place one sublime piece of sushi at a time in front of you, keeping the pace nice and leisurely. The total number of sushi is ten and they are all fantastically fresh as he uses seasonal seafood. Here is what we we had:
- Shima Aji (mackerel)
- Shiro Ika (yuzu zest-speckled squid)
- Shima Saba (marinated mackerel)
- Chutoro (medium fatty tuna)
- Hotate (scallop)
- Amaebi (sweet shrimp)
- Akame Zuke (marinated tuna)
- Kinmedai (roasted with salt)
- Negitoro Maki Roll (3 pieces)
- Anago (sea eel)
Besides the raw items, you also get a piece of grilled fish (it was a hefty chunk of Teriyaki Buri that day), mini rice bowl with Uni and Ikura, a small chawanmushi, miso soup and dessert.

Rough on the edges but with deep, mellow flavours... Hands down, the best apple crumble in Singapore I've tasted so far. Apple slices, candied orange peel, and plump raisins infused with a liberal sprinkling of cinnamon, nutmeg and star anise... topped with a delicious crumble topping -- loads of flour, butter and sugar in decadently chunky form. Best with a spoonful (or two) of warm vanilla sauce drizzled on top. Only thing that could make it better -- a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. Served piping hot with the usual ketchup and chilli sauces. The waitstaff kindly provided us with a dish of truffle mayo dip. The fries are thick, crisp on the outside with fluffy innards. Delicious. Do check out their creative burgers, too -- smothered in cheese and stacked high!
Perhaps Singapore's most amazeballs brownie. Crackly edges with a moist, fudgy centre. I've been known to demolish entire trays at a go. I think the dessert chefs are afraid of me. :/
