The best meals I had in Paris wasn't at the Michelin-starred and World's 50 Best restaurants, as I thought those weren't that different nor better than what we have in Singapore. My most memorable meals there were at the casual French bistros - La Jacobine, Pascade, and this La Regalade.

I'm very impressed that they served really good foie gras that was very rich, creamy and buttery. And that pigeon was also strong in its natural flavours, being naturally sweet within. I liked this so much that I was trying to squeeze in another meal just before I fly back to Singapore, but I couldn't get a last minute reservation.

Not usually a buffet person but this was pretty decent! A range of sashimi, fresh seafood, roast meats, and other local delights! The highlight was definitely the dessert spread though - think tangy custards, sesame ice cream, and a matcha chocolate fondue!

Definitely the best unagi rice bowl in Singapore! The eel is lightly crisp on the outside, with pillowy-soft meat. Add a delicious sweet sauce, freshly grated wasabi and dashi broth, and you have a superstar ๐ŸŒŸ can't wait for my next visit!

My absolute favourite waffles/ice cream combination in Singapore! The waffles are always crispy on the outside with a soft batter within. The pistachio and earl grey and lavender ice cream are also my favourite flavours across them all!

The menu said you could feed 8-14 people with this, but who are you kidding - three of us could have polished it off right away :) Fatty, indulgent goodness, this goose well deserves that Michelin star that was taken away from them as a result of a family feud.

Decided to go back to a veggie diet by skipping on the meats and focus on lovely grilled vegetables! With honey carrots, wild mushrooms, beansprout salad and bell peppers, this is truly colour on a plate! Add quinoa and it couldn't be healthier ๐Ÿ˜‰My only complain is that it is a little pricey for merely vegetables. I had to get a cake for supper later!

Decided to stuff myself with a whole Peking duck today! The duck was tender, the skin was ultra crispy in an airy manner, although it is dripping with oil (could be a good thing for some!) Not a fan of the mulberry sauce and popping candy, but overall a solid Peking duck. Considering my 50% discount...I can't complain!

These were utterly crispy with soft centres! Excellently executed and definitely a dish to order when at New Ubin. Could easily be an after meal snack too ๐Ÿ˜‹

My go-to sushi fix! Where else can you find such thick delicious cuts of fish (and scallop!!) on a bed of perfectly vinegared rice? Only wish is that the wasabi were real, but that maybe too much to ask for at this price point ๐Ÿ˜Š

Took a break from the plant diet to indulge in steak ๐Ÿ™ƒ Served medium-rare, this steak had a crust, whilst still being incredibly juicy on the inside. The free flow of duck-fat fried fries didn't hurt one bit!!

Stunning plate! Not only was the star of the dish succulent and fall-off-the-bone delicious, the accompanying sides were equally to die for. Each tomato on the vine popped with its vibrant juices as you bite into them, and the mashed potato was creamy and decadent beyond belief. Must try!

Come right at opening time or be prepared to be wait jealously for up to half an hour! This pho is one of the best I've had in Singapore: the stock is rich and thick, complemented by tender slices of beef.
