Ordered the following rice dumplings from Joo Chiat Kim Choo: Nyonya; Hokkien (with salted egg yolk); Pulut hitam nyonya; Hakka pork belly with preserved vegetables; Emperor. Each dumpling was chockful of ingredients and the rice was really soft and delicious. My favourite would have been the pulut hiam nyonya rice dumpling. I love the sweet-savoury combination of the meat to the rice. The black rice also added a slight change in taste to the dumpling, which i enjoyed. The hakka pork belly with preserved vegetables were also a new dumpling for me. The pork in the dumpling was so tender and delicious.

Ordered the 2 pax Daebak bundle. We had the beef stew (level 3 spiciness), 1 crab meat rice ball, 1 bibimbap, 4 pcs egg roll and 2 canned drinks. It was quite a hefty portion, even for two. In fact, find that it could have been shared between three! The highlight of the meal for me was the beef stew. It was the just right spiciness, without overpowering the sweet and savoury sauce. And the beef was oh so tender. The bibimbap was also really worth it. It came with a lot of vegetables and texture in each bite, which made it really enjoyable to eat. The rice balls are also a fun activity to do with your friends while eating, everyone can try their hand at making the rice balls. Overall, an pleasant meal to have with friends.

Healthy drinks for a sweet tooth. Drinks were not too thick despite adding good amount of yogurt. The blueberry pineapple (fresh fruit yogurt) had the slight sweetness to it and it was enjoyable to chew on the pineapple between sips. The strawberry lemon yo-tea (yogurt tea blend) would be for those who like a slightly sweet-sour desserts and tea. My favourite would be the Oreo boba yogurt (yogurt classics). I enjoyed the different textures in the drink. The smoothness of the drink, the chewiness of the boba and the crunch of the Oreo bits. Healthier alternative to bbt tea. Location of the shop is convenient too.

Quaint and cosy ambiance. Rather enjoyable for a dinner date with friends. Good portions with well grilled meats. My favourites would be the spicy signature pork ribs and corn bread. The ribs at Meat and Chill are fall off the bone tender and coated with finger-licking sauce. The corn bread was delightful, sweet and moist without being too dense. I would recommend adding one of the salads as a palette cleanser. The slight sourness in the vinaigrette and freshness of the green salad complemented the meats really well.

Pretty, quaint little place. Both spicy salmon and negitoro dons were nice, though I preferred the latter. The minced tuna belly, tobiko and raw egg coated the rice better, and the addition of chopped spring onions added a refreshing taste. The batter of the ika-'kuro'-age was light and crispy. My favourite would be the kani miso. The plain crackers shone light of the well paired saltiness of the miso and richness of the crab tomalley.
