If somehow for some odd reason you can only order ONE thing from JB Ah Meng, get this. Mad love for the smoky wok hei flavour consistent throughout the whole dish, further elevated in texture by the thin strips of cuttlefish and charred bits all around. This is the kind of dish that disappears right away after it's served and that makes it even better because 抢着吃更好吃 (food tastes even better when everyone's snatching for it)!

Aunty recommended us to get a large + a medium but we regretted not sticking to our original decision of 2 large portions as the 7 of us can easily finish them! So please, learn from our lesson. 😛 The Small is available at $7 and Medium at $11.

I was contacted on Facebook by HoongMing, the lady behind @BrunoiseSg, a home baker who specialises in low-sugar cakes and other bakes. She had seen on Burpple that I like banana loaves and wanted to bake me one. I was happy to try under the condition that I pay for it, which she agreed.
Well, I'm really pleased she reached out to me because her banana loaf is indeed very good. For chocolate lovers, the one pictured above has blobs of Nutella inside which makes it even lovelier!
After heating up the slices for a few minutes, the cake which is made with browned President brand butter, became extra fragrant with the scent of ripe bananas and chocolate. Texturally, it's still moist even though warming it in the oven gave it the subtlest of crunch on the exterior (something I personally enjoy).
I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a delicious banana loaf. You can find out more on her company's Facebook page: "Brunoise.Sg".
