A well hidden secret in queenstown

You get to select your Yong Tau Fu ingredients from a range of choices, from tau geh (bean sprouts) to fried luncheon meat. Minimum to choose is 6 pieces. You can also choose between bee hoon and yellow egg noodles (熟面) to go with the ingredients. We paid $12.30 for 3 bowls, with total of 22 ingredients.

Soy sauce chicken, roast pork, char siew and Chinese sausage, chicken rice and noodles all worthy of your calories and money! This is the master of all chicken rice out there! (Wee, Loy and Boon can stand aside lol)

Talk about generous. The Chicken Drumstick Mee Soto ($5) here comes served with a whole, gigantic chicken leg that's tender to the bite. However, it is the flavourful broth that won our Burpple Tastemakers over. According to Tastemaker Vanessa Kou, it is "warm, clear and spice-enhanced, and so comforting to slurp on". Bookmark this for rainy days. As Tastemaker Jean Kao says, "this hearty bowl can definitely lift your fowl mood when served on a cold wet day". While you're here, check out their other claim to fame, the Power Mee Reebus ($3.80). Tastemaker Ice Blossom loves how the noodles are not soggy, the generous toppings of fried red onions and green chilli, and the gravy that she declares is "pure shiok-ness".
Avg price: $5 per person

Huge plate, portion for 2 but we shared it between 4 of us and couldn't even finish everything.

My mom couldn't stop saying "I have never had such fragrant noodles for a long time!"and mind you my mom seldom give praises to food. This is total comfort food where you can just slurp it all down!

The reliable fried chicken gets instant invigoration from the sriracha-spiked creamy mayo, which gently needles your tongue like a flirtatious acupuncturist. 3.7/5

Formerly known as Benjamin Browns, newly-revamped bistro concept The Benjamins makes a splashy (re)entrance with the launch of their Over The Top Shakes ($16) — absolutely massive milkshakes topped with everything from the kitchen sink to your mother. Current flavours include Caramel Crunch, Nutella Banana and Tim Tams, but we say go for the creamy and fragrant Coffee Avocado, which is probably the most restrained of the bunch!

Slight above average chinese food but twice I went there and had people smoking in the private room.

Average imo
