A quiet, peaceful cafe with nice view Located at top level of Jem. You can catch a glimpse of sunset if you go during the evening. Great place to hangout with friends especially for a catch-up. Tried the lavender and brown butter waffles, which are pretty decent.

Rooftop eatery with a nice view! We had the Thai Basil Pesto Pasta ($16) and the Truffle Cheese Pasta ($18). Portion was just nice. The Thai Basil Pesto Pasta's chicken was spicy and tasty. The Truffle Cheese Pasta was alright, would've appreciated it with bacon or an additional ingredient. For drinks we had a Matcha Latte ($6) and a Blue Pea Honey Latte ($7). The Matcha Latte was okay but the Blue Pea Honey Latte didn't have much of a taste. That aside, the best thing we would say we had was the Fried Cookie Dough with Gelato ($7.80) (we got the Apple Pie flavoured). It was delicious and extremely worth the price. We'll definitely be back for it! Since this place was tucked away at JEM's rooftop, there wasn't a crowd and the ambience was peaceful.

Good Food And Ambience Food and drinks were very worth it with the 1 for 1 burpple deal. The place was also very cozy, a good place to chill and rest away from the crowd.

chicken pesto pasta The combination of pesto pasta with shredded grilled chicken is just what i needed! I could taste the freshness of basil and a hint of garlic from the sauce, definitely one of my favourite pasta!

Pulled Pork Sandwich $8.90 Eat this fast or else your bread gets soggy from the pulled pork fillings. I like the pickles as it went well with the flavourful pulled pork!

Caramel Grilled Chicken Sandwich $8.90 My favourite sandwich of all time. Although it was quite salty, the chicken was tender and the egg was soft and nice. Love the soft bread texture too!

Grilled Cheese $5.90 While the cheese was hot and stretchy, it wasn't very flavorful. Bread tasted stale and not as buttery as I'd have liked!

Charcoal Duck Ramen ~$16.8. One of my fav dishes here! This place does the whole fusion thing well, combining the best of multiple cuisines. Came here multiple times before they closed but looking forward to their reopening! The staff are really friendly too 👍🏻

Salmon King Don from Babasan! Got to try this for free in early August when they were giving out sample portions of their meals to publicise their new menu and location. The rice had a fragrant laksa aroma, and came with ikura, salmon chunks, dried shrimp and an onsen egg. Quite light on the palate yet tasty. P.S. Dean & Deluca Caramel cheesecake ( right ) at $8 a slice, portion of the cakes are much larger than other cafes. Somehow the caramel is quite mild and its not as sweet or heavy flavored as what I've expected . The cheese itself is not too overpowering too thus one can finish it easily. Pair it w a cuppa comforting hot chocolate at $6 and your day is made. Mango Passionfruit Cheesecake ( left ) $9.80 a slice. The combination of both the fruits makes it sweet yet tangy at the same time, which tingles your tastebuds! Pretty interesting and refreshing plus the fact that the fruits topped are fresh.

Iced Latte @ $6 Smooth & strong taste latte. No order anything but maybe will try their breakfast one day?

Linguine Pesto Chicken - Okay. (sry for blur image) Linguine Pesto Chicken and Spaghetti Carbonara were both too creamy. Taste was just okay, average but wouldn't pay full px for it. Chill vibes. Didnt try the beverages.

Ice Cream + Waffles Finally tried their best selling ice cream flavour (salted butterscotch) one last time again before they closed down permanently + valrhona chocolate ($8) + waffles ($4) last time I have tried with my mum and sister after covid phase 2 where they r dine in. I think that salted butterscotch really so good, savoury and salty taste and taste remaines as same throughout the years. But valrhona chocolate just jelak for me tbh, milky, creamy and bitter taste and also thick texture and still complemented well with salted butterscotch. Waffles I think that they just overcooked (slightly hard to cut down) and got a bit of "char" edge 🥲. It turned soggy once ice cream melted it off towards the end.

Chicken chimichanga ($22) A deep fried burrito stuffed with cheese, salsa and chicken. I liked the crisp from the crunchy wrap, albeit a little too oily together with the cheese. The tomatoes added a refreshing tanginess to the smoky chicken. Topped with creamy guacamole, I enjoyed the contrast in textures and it helped to balance the rich flavours within the burrito. 😌 Very flavourful and filling! 😋

Being one of the most classic Mexican desserts, La Salsa has not let the Mexicans down. 💯 Featuring deep-fried flour dough sticks sprinkled generously with cinnamon sugar, served with chocolate 🍫 or butterscotch sauce, their rendition ($14++) was certainly a notch above the rest! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 . Fried to the perfect crisp on the exterior while remaining really fluffy & chewy inside, these were simply heavenly! 🤤🤤🤤 The sugar-cinnamon coat rendered it an irresistible treat with its full-blown sweetness & spice. 💕 . It is of no wonder why this is their ever popular dessert & I dare say it’s the perfect way to end the meal! ❤ Come try it for yourself cuz it’s CHUly amazing! 👍🏻

Chicken Burrito & Grilled Pork The options are pretty pricey for someplace that serves relatively average Mexican food. The pork was slightly tough, and the burrito was just alright. Perhaps we ordered the wrong stuff, but it’s unlikely I’ll return again.

Beef Cheek Tagliatelle ($34) The braised beef almost melted-in-the-mouth, sauce was rich, rather heavy on the garlic but on the salty end of the spectrum which made it more filling.
