Le Steak by Chef Amri aims to be an affordable family-friendly steakhouse. Popular items include their Grilled Chicken, Sirloin Steak and Seared Salmon, all priced reasonably below $20. Even the desserts of Lemon Tart or Creme Brulee are a hit at under $10. If you're in the Jalan Kayu area, this is the perfect place for dinner with your loved ones. Burppler Amalina highly recommends this fairly new Halal cafe! She says "This is banoffee pavlova with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It is awesome, the pavlova simply melts in your mouth. There are other desserts as well, such as cupcakes and tarts. All are worth trying, I promise! Highly recommended!"

I feel that this is the best place for desserts! Especially love their combinations of sweet and salted. What's better is that it's halal!

And All Things Delicious is Tolido's Espresso Nook's newest neighbour, which offers a wide variety for halal-certified bakes such as Gula-Melaka Scones, Brownies and Galettes. The baker insists on using unprocessed ingredients such as unsalted butter organic ingredients so as to make their bakes taste more "natural" and it shows; clean yet flavourful treats indeed. They also share their shop space with Fictive Fingers that does pretty decent handprinted textile designs, if anyone is interested.

The take out sushi shop is always packed with people. Their sushi is fresh, good quality & super affordable. They have interesting flavours such as vegetables & fruits sushi which I've yet to try

Originally from Malaysia, and now it's here! Some damn good filling pancakes, with some iced chocolate and iced mocha for the humid weather!

I Am cafe has gained widespread popularity, attracting diners by the dozen to their humble, airy space just at the start of Haji Lane. Their unexpectedly good food is what brings diners back again and again, especially for their perfectly battered and fried fish and chips, and exquisite rainbow mille crepe and red velvet cake. Enjoy a nice meal here with a couple of friends! *Muslim-owned, not Halal-certified but Halal supplier
