π Came to this hawker centre to hunt down giant hokkien mee but also discovered this Malay stall selling mee rebus topped with satay sauce!!!!! Really good classic Malay food at super modest prices!! ππ»ππ»ππ» Hard to miss this stall when half the people at the hawker centre were eating from there. They have a really decadent looking mee soto ($4, $5.50) with a huge chicken thigh π and potato that I so am gonna try next time #burpple #dqky
Tried signatures like Boru Chirashi ($13.90) and Truffle Somen ($13.90). Definitely wallet friendly but taste wise, I was disappointed cos I came with high expectations. Had read so many positive reviews but upon trying, I thought the chirashi was quite ordinary. Nice variety of ingredients including salmon/tuna/octopus/shrimp/roe but sauce was average. Truffle somen also wasn't to my/friends' liking. Not everything goes with truffle, I guess! π #burpple
Max of two flavours! π Pricey considering the small amount of beverage lol. But I couldn't resist!! SO CUTE AND JIGGLY. Matcha was pretty good - thick and creamy! But must drink (and take photos) fast cos the drink leaks through. The tart shells were so butteryyyyy and remained quite crispy even after awhile. Yum! #burpple
while hawker food hunting in Ang Mo Kio with @dareren ππβ¨ Lobster Bee Hoon Soup ($18.90-$24.90, so cheap!!!!) was sold out so it was the Crayfish Bee Hoon ($15) for us!! Three whole crayfish sliced in halves and a generous portion of clams. The soup stock is sooooo sweet we slurped it all up. Damn worth it! π #burpple #dqky
Though it's starting to get too hipster to the point of being painful. From pretty dang awesome Chicken Scotch Eggs ($5) with Peking duck sauce to good old potato twister with nacho cheese (only $3!) to weird Spicy Pokerritos ($5, a pathetic half) covered in hot cheetos, overpriced Raclette Set ($12) with cheap tasting sausages, to hipster but VERY SHIOK GIANT BAGS OF layered gula melaka tea and/or bandung (2 bags for $8), interesting but ok tasting fried milk cubes doused in in-house salted caramel sauce ($5), no-queue but expensive dragon's breath ($6.50) and to jackfruit and durian bombs (5 for $6, mixed) - @dareren and I ate till we were about to explode. Next time I'm back, I'm grabbing a Rambly burger πππ and giant octopus takoyaki balls π #burpple
Thus the two bowls lol. House Special Ramyeon ($11.90) - pretty decent with lots of spam cubes, kimchi, an egg, and seaweed. An okay-ish meal #burpple
Maki ($16.80)! Ordered the 1st gen with unagi and 2nd gen with fried shrimp. Plus a pretty good eggy plate of yaki udon ($10) π£ @dareren's first time having shiok makiiiii #burpple

Churro Fries (RM10.90, S$3.50 or RM9.90/S$3.20 for Genting rewards members) with options of tomato, seaweed or sour cream and onion. Seaweed is pretty safe. Thin and crispy enough to really resemble fries except these fries has shiok churro-like ridges π #burpple

RM20 aka S$6.44. Chose the siphon method cos it's the most dramatic teehee. Fun! Reminds me of moka pot where a hot vacuum is created, forcing water to rise up and extract flavours of the coffee. Plus it's so prettyyyy #burpple
π
Heat Vision Chicken Rice (RM22, S$7.08) - grilled chicken thigh served with fried rice. π
Wonder Woman Wallop aka iced mocha (RM17, S$5.47). βοΈ
SUPER CHEAP!! The food is practically food court prices esp after 15% discount for Genting Rewards members!!! The food menu here is localized to suit Malaysian tastebuds. Quite different from sg menu. The food @yingxyan and I had tasted particularly Indian/Indonesian-ish. The sauce abit too pungent from the spices alr! Overall, a decent meal and may I say again? SO CHEAP!! Anything for Superman β€οΈ #burpple
