Easy eh... Guacamole for dinner and tomorrow's breakfast! Here's my simple rendition of a guacamole recipe:
2 ripe avacado
1/2 chopped white onion
1 tomato
Chopped coriander
1/2 tsp garlic
A dash of cayenne
A dash of ground black pepper
Truffle olive oil
Usually many use a hand masher similar to mashing potatoes but since my avacado was a lil not too ripe, I blended it in my blitz today. Will use red onions the next round as it gives a sharper spicier taste.
Gonna have this with some smoked salmon and cream spinach today! Enjoy!

Similarly, I always enjoy a pot of steamboat and only MA LA pls! Nothing gets between me and my mala steamboat!

Heard raves about their food especially their desserts so just had to head down in for the meeting momma's birthday! The food was good and fresh but felt the sourdough bread will a lil too hard for my liking. Was hard to cut up due to the hard crusts but taste was wasn't affected, just the experience. Their signature sugee cake came highly recommended by friends and wasn't disappointed! So go try it! A good vibrant cafe!

Truffle Sea Bream!! Ooooooh melts in your mouth!

Tucked in the basement of a community centre, is a chic modern-retro looking 'kopitiam' selling western and zhi char faves. And oh, they sell starker beer by mugs, jugs and towers! Tried their fish head curry and salted egg prawn balls and was amazingly blown. The fish head curry tasted yummilicious and a tad on the spicy side. So beware the curry-flooding-on-rice if you love to do that like me! The salted egg prawn balls - were also fresh, nicely sized and so tasty! To top it off, had a starker beer to enjoy the nightout!

Aunty and uncle of this shop simply monopolizes the good food in the hawker! Lol. They sell wanton mee, wu xiang, nasi lemak and economic beehoon! I'm personally not a wanton mee fan cos I don't fancy the stringy thin texture of the noodles but this one's more on the "noodly" texture and a lil more "kew kew" side. Sauce tastes good too and char siew is not the thin and dry type. It's succulent even from that small piece! 👍As for the wu xiang, big variety, nice sauce and items weren't too over fried. Recommended! Oh yes... Carrot cake in this same hawker is nice too so give it a go if you can still stuff more food in!😜

So it's known for its #noburnttaste despite it being barbequed/grilled and we decided to head down to see how good this was. Not disappointed! The beef ribs were out of this world! So tender and melts in your mouth! Taste was also good and not too salty or full w marinade. Love my beef the way it is, medium rare! I'd visit Fat Lulu's again for this!

Headed to Grove as it one of the recommended cafes for vegan food. Decided to go clean that day and visited Grove at Waterway Point.
The Truffle it Up (in pic) was cooked to a nice texture smelled lovely w truffle! Black fungus was marinated nice too and was crunchy & fresh. However was a little short-changed on the egg yolk. No yolk!! 😥 We also had the Make Miso Happy which was a soup version. It was more on the lighter side compared to the rich taste of the truffle noodles. Overall, would give the cafe another shot and try their acai bowls the next round!
