Was back yesterday as was in the Duxton area so am back for the Mah Mah noodle!! Still sooooo yummy!! Also had the mixed grill was ...... Not too bad.. Simply mixed grill and I'm not such a big fan of grilled stuff but that's the best option in the menu. Not sure why but felt the food selection was rather weak. There were only 2 Asian cuisines, with the rest being sausages, grills (not even fish n chips) and hamburgers... Come on add more to the Asian cuisine!! But overall, will be back for Mah Mah noodle and happy hour!! 2 pints of Guinness @ $20!

Was supposed to head over for their curry fish head and salted egg prawn balls but only western food was left. So what's the verdict?? Portion was big for the price and the sides were nice! However lamb was not as juicy, lil bit overdone. Recommend the butter pilaf, mash, aglio pasta and potato salad for sides! .

Loved the Pho Xao on my previous visit and this round, the food didn't disappoint. However, the wings were a little too sweet for my taste. Would much prefer a salty version like our BBQ wings found at hawkers and sweets can be kept for dessert. But it's ok, to each his own and I'll still be coming back. ESPECIALLY with the great service by.... What's her name...?! I really forgot, but she made the visit so warm and she clicked with us girls easily! Kudos to your GM #xiaoyatou ! .

Of course we had to make our way there right.....! So which did we try?? No guessing that we eventually went for the Pump Station to try their beer and food range. Interesting food range but sadly no grilled osyters yet. There's Jap, pastas, small bites and oh even pork belly stew which I had! In the pic is the garlic fried rice with fish cutlet and egg. The taste was mehhh but not that bad. Just wasn't too impressed. Serving size was good though. The pork belly tasted good! But portion was bit small 😿 Had a baddddd experience with the waitress who bluffed me that my Kronenburg was Asahi when it was infact Kronen. Like hello, I can smell that flowery taste in my beer which I hate! It's ok if you don't drink, but at least check when I asked. Terrible. But overall, other waiters were fine and I'll be back to try other stuff!

Tried various servings of food and loved almost all of it! The hor fun here was tasty with good quality seafood! Worth the price, but do note the standard and member prices do vary quite a bit. 👍👍

I cook by feel and taste, so here's my version of a simple SG dinner!
1 box of baby spinach from NTUC Finest
3 tbsp thickened cream
1 tsp butter
A dash of salt, pepper and cayenne
Smoked Salmon with Dill from Fassler
2 slices Superfine Wholemeal bread
1 egg

1. Prep spinach: Spread on pan, add spinach and stir.
2. Add thickened, salt, pepper and cayenne. Feel free to add white wine if you'd like. (I skipped the cheese for a healthier rendition since I'm already using cream). Stir and off heat.
3. At the same time, spread butter on another pan and place 1 slice of bread, stirring it around.
4. Arrange cooked spinach on bread and salmon on spinach.
5. Once done, place another slice of bread on top and flip over. Cook and stir the bread around for another 1-2 mins for a crispy texture before plating.
6. Separately cook a sunny side up and top on Salmon & Spinach bread!
ENJOY!!

I've been an avid fan of their Salted Egg Croissant but always felt their dishes lacked a little something. However it seems that there's been a change in probably their chef or management decided to 'wake up' to enhance their food! Decided to pay them a visit today for brunch and was amazingly surprised with the difference in their food! The poached eggs were nicely done and didn't taste heavily of vinegar anymore and their plating.... finally changed for the better! Kudos to them and yes, breakfast was good!

Poached sous vide eggs with smoked salmon and salted egg sauce wrapped in a crispy baked croissant. I've headed to Flavour Flings for quite some time now and they're known for their yummy and economically priced salted egg lava croissant! Really yummy but since I'm watching my diet, skipped it today. And yes, kudos to FF on finally changing their plating to enhance the look of whole dish! Looks much better than the previous!
