This tops the list of items we've ordered - as we decided to give the grilled whole fish a miss this round so that we can try all their other dishes. The rice used are the short grain pearl rice ηη η±³ which really makes a big difference. Simplify fried with eggs and luncheon meat - the winning combo, the fried rice is savoury and not too greasy, which makes you (almost) forget the carbs as you dig in and top-up your bowl from this interesting and big wooden tub! The damage is $8.80 and deservingly no-one can blame you for finishing half the tub and wanting to order more!

Yes, not the most photogenic but definitely the best Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich ($8) by far!

Cornflake crusted chocolate and milk bread slathered generously with crunchy peanut butter and mixed berry jam. #shutupandtakemymoney
Our first reaction when this place first opened (and before she was named Best Pastry Chef by San Pellegrino) was, "huh who's Cheryl Koh?" But after hearing she was Les Amis' pastry chef we decided to give her some cred.. Mangoes are in season and they really did shine here - sweet and tender (but barely any tartness). However, below the bed of artfully sliced and glazed mangoes, the vanilla crème pat hits you in the face.. But it's also really, really luscious, velvetly but light and ugh damn delicious. The pistache was absolutely gorgeous with finely chopped pistachio nuts mixed into and flavouring the crème pat.. It made me miss all the pistachio-flavoured gelatos in rome. Also, DAT. BUTTERY. BASE. Yum. More next time.
Really excited to try this! Quite good actually πππ
Determined to bring the bagel craze to Singapore, the fine gentlemen behind this new bagel establishment pride themselves in their freshly baked bagels handrolled with love. Cafes dedicated to serving these incredibly underrated breads are rare, but you can rest assured that Two Men Bagel House does it right. If you subscribe to the 'simple is best' philosophy, you can opt for a plain/ classic salmon dill cream cheese bagel. But since you're in a bagel house, after all, you can afford to be a little more adventurous. Go for the incredibly vibrant LOX - cured salmon, cream cheese, red onions, dill and capers, atop perfectly crisp yet chewy bagel halves. Want it more brunch-style? Have bagels with bacon and poached eggs too!
Doesnt get better than this.
Salted Egg Fries with HK style milk tea for night snack, yums for my tumzxzxz.
A hidden gem in the Balestier area, this spot is a favourite of those who know it. This upscale environment is great for celebrations, as it retains standard zi char prices. A must-try dish here is their Fragrant Fish Roe Fried Rice, a generous amount of crunchy, flavorful tobiko in every bite of fluffy rice. Finish off with their famous French Toast, a nice way to end a zi char meal.
