𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲, 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗸𝘂𝗿𝗮 𝗗𝗼𝗻 ($𝟭𝟴.𝟵𝟬) This was a fresh treasure trove of scallop and salmon chunks lying beautifully atop a bed of furikake rice. Every pop of ikura added a salty sweetness to each bite. Unsuspectingly, the rice here was SO GOOD. Maybe it was the sauce that they used which was slightly sweet and sour, making the rice borderline addictive. The ratio of sashimi to rice here was good, you wont find yourself rationing the seafood as well.

𝗔𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗶 𝗦𝗲𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮 ($𝟭𝟮.𝟵𝟬) The sauce was tangy, a little bit sour which made it super refreshing. Only thing was that we’d wish for more salmon (we got 4 slices!)

𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗸𝗲 ($𝟴) They were super generous with the togarashi seasoning, but the powder that did not dissolve gave off a grainy and gritty texture at some point.

Dr Fry cheese + Pork Cutlets Pricey but yummy and not greasy at all. Give it a shot! $18++

Miso Ramen Filling me up nicely, Jimoto-ya's Ladies Set does just the job for those who enjoys a full meal without overeating (in my opinion) as food coma after lunch seems inevitable for me. Priced at $18++, the set serves a choice of 2 side dishes with a petit ramen and dessert. For a more robust-tasting broth, their Miso Ramen is ideal for those seeking a stronger profile yet not overwhelmingly so. Ticking all the right boxes for me, the umami base had a great blend of flavours and just the right amount of saltiness. The springy noodles were also well-executed with a nice satisfying bite! All this topped with crunchy sliced cabbage, half an ajitama egg and meatballs.

Shio Ramen For something lighter, dip your spoon into the Shio Ramen's broth. Clear and fresh, the base was very "drinkable" and tasted more familiar-somewhat like a mild as well as delicate prawn noodle soup. The aromatic mix also bringing together the individual sweetness of the pork and prawns used. Though the portion seems measly, the lunch set was really substantial and more so with the sides. A must-try is their crispy and evenly breaded tori kara-age as the meat inside was surprisingly succulent and juicy!

Chargrilled Unagi Kabayaki Tender, flavoursome freshwater eel char-grilled to a delicate crisp and glazed with sansho kabayaki, offering a balance of smoky depth. The nori strips complement the eel beautifully, adding a slight textural contrast 》$32.80

Superstar Lobster A bold, indulgent creation featuring crispy prawn, spicy lobster and cheddar cheese, all fired up with peri-peri spice and topped with a satisfying layer of tempura crunch 》$15.80

Umami Soy Chirashi A second-generation favourite featuring fresh, diced sashimi coated in a savoury roasted soy marinade. The balance of fish to rice was spot on, while the ikura delivered little bursts of umami that took each bite to the next level 》$19.80

Salmon Mentai Don Price has increased to $9.50, but this is still a stall I would frequent. Generous slab of salmon (loved how they cooked it such that the skin is crisp). Pickles and miso soup to complement. Sweet sauce to counter the savoury taste, and definitely the star has got to be the mentaiko sauce which was served in generous amounts.

Salmon Mentai Don What's most disappointing was the deep-fried fish. Never deep-fry salmon, especially if you're pairing it with mentai. The result didn't make sense. However, the mentai and donburi sauce salvaged the dish. Overall, $9 for this in a coffeeshop is a fail.

Salmon Mentai Don ($8.80) Salmon Mentai Don was pretty good, but I find the sauce was quite salty. Bf ordered Unagi Tama Don ($8.80) and he loves it, unagi was cooked perfectly. Tbh I also preferred the Unagi Tama Don more. We also got the Donya Maki ($5.80) to share. It was a pretty good dinner 👍🏻
