Here’s the Cacio e Pepe ($35) - simple and delicious! Also had a pizza and salad - all good for sharing. Entire place had nice vibes (evening time) with candles on each table. You can also see the chefs making the pizza! Lucali is located within a building and the nearby carpark doesn’t have many lots so do go slightly earlier if you’re driving!

Located in Ubi Industrial Park just a few minutes’ walk from Ubi MRT (DT27), prepare to queue for one of the best fish soups in SG. Rich and tasty without being jelak or MSG-laden, and if you love egg like me, the fried egg strips add great flavour to the dish! My sliced fish mee sua cost $4.50. A friend recommended this to me (she can eat it for a week without getting sian). I think if I worked nearby, I wouldn’t mind eating this everyday! Pro tip: Beat the lunch crowd by going at about 11.30am.

The After Eight Soufflé ($17) was fluffy, light, and the mint chocolate sauce didn’t overpower at all! That said, there are many other soufflé flavors to try that may exhibit more character than this one (Rum & Raisin maybe?). Do note that each soufflé is made to order and you’d have to wait about 30 minutes.

Had the Chirashi Kou ($35) which contained a huge dollop of ikura and 2 slices each of salmon, amaebi (sweet prawn), scallops, swordfish, unagi, tamago AND my fave chutoro (medium fatty tuna)! Savoured every fresh slice. Chikuwa Tei also offers a pretty good selection of drinks - try the umeshu or the cocktail Yuzu 75!
