Cookies and Cream Peanut Butter (SGD10.95) which I spread it on plain Meiji biscuits the other day. It's full of cookies, but I think the consistency is too thick to be called a spread. Lol.

But we personally felt that the cookie (we had previously) gives a better texture than this Japanese rice puffs which we could hardly taste. Perhaps a more generous scoop of puffs could do the trick.
But still thumbs up for the consistency and flavour of the matcha flavour soft serve 👍👍

Cakes we tried over the weekend at this Japanese Patisserie which left us utterly disappointed.
Bought their bestsellers, yet they were all not to our liking.
Starting from top, we had Strawberry shortcake (SGD5.40), Strawberry Hill (SGD5.60), Chocolate Renga (SGD5.70) and Caribbean Dreams (SGD5.90). The only decent piece was strawberry shortcake which was not bad, but the cream from Chef Yamashita a stone throw away, feels more fluffy and fresh.

Ordered the mazesoba (mix noodles) with all toppings (SGD15.80++) which consists of soft boiled egg, char siew, braised pork and deep fried chicken (we add on a flavourful egg). Mix them up and you can add vinegar or chilli oil to the noodles too.
It feels like bak chor mee, Japanese style and was flavourful and appetizing. But it becomes too porky for me towards the end. Should have chosen the fried chicken one instead.
It also comes with a small cup of chicken broth to sip in-between, and I actually like this soup a lot because it helps to balance out the rich flavour of the noodles. And it's refillable too!
Definitely a place that we will be back again 👍

So glad that baby came over to fetch me after work 😚😚 We had to wait for around 30 mins before food is served as we reached there slightly later.
Hotolate tofu is served with fluffy egg and is favourful. Prawn paste chicken wings are fried till perfection but the prawn paste could have been stronger. Hokkien noodles (SGD3.50) is my main, and it came in a big plate, really worth it!
Total bill came up to be about SGD20 which is really cheap and good for all these food!

At our fave fried-fish bee Hoon stall. We always never fail to order their fried-fish bee Hoon, prawn paste chicken wings and egg.
Love the milky and flavourful soup of the bee hoon, but somehow the fish abit tough.
Prawn paste chicken wings used to be better, but the minced pork and egg is done tastefully today.

But my throat's itchy and eye's swollen, hope I don't fall sick over the weekends 😢

This was Wednesday's dinner because it was bro's birthday. Ordered our usual, and here are a few new orders we tried.
Bamboo Steamed herbal prawn ($5.90++) for 1 serving which came with 2 prawns. The broth is light and slightly sweet, but the prawns could be fresher.
Deep-fried squirrel fish ($38++): my fave fish dish because it's totally boneless! Tastes somewhat like sweet-n-sour fish actually haha.
Dessert for the day was this fungus bird nest's dessert ($6.90++) which tasted like those you get from a can. Served chill, it's nice.

Prego has changed their menu, and here's what I chose - Salmon (SGD40) which has a pan-fried salmon, herbed asparagus and lemon butter sauce.
I love how the salmon's still juicy and tender despite being a big piece. Yummy! But the amount of asparagus could have been reduced or the addition of other veggies would be good.

And so I found a random cafe nearby, sipping my soup and waiting for him.
This mushroom soup (SGD3) wasn't fantastic but the family-run cafe's actually quite warm and cosy. The lady boss served me the soup, and even told me she could give me the discounted price for the soup if I were to order a main when my friend arrived.

Besides the usual, we tried their porridge this time round. Century egg with pork porridge (SGD6.80++) was smooth and flavourful, but it's quite a small bowl though.

Never fail to bring home a few whenever I am at the Grandstand because they are too cute to resist and really yummy!
Tsum Tsum Donald Duck (Nutella) and Daisy Duck (Vanilla) retails for SGD4.50 each. I specially love the nutella flavour 😋😋

I only realized they have the lunch set today lol.
Their signature Nasi Lemak + drink (SGD6.90). Affordable and yummy! Been so long since I last had Nasi Lemak too!
