We actually went to the place to try out their burgers. But me being me, i just had to have their aglio olio. But i tell you.. The patty was superb! Really nice! A great combination of nice, spicy, salted, well made aglio olios with well marinated beef patty! There were also choices of chicken, lamb, and spicy angel for the aglio olios. Spicy angel is actually marinated prawns. They look really tempting too, might give it a shot next time. My meal costs me RM13.80 only! But i was really really full!
While menu items might seem similar, don't mistake it for Dip N Dip. Unlike its rival, Salon makes its own chocolate from scratch from the finest Belgian ingredients, and this shines through in their handmade praline and truffles. The chocolate here is not cloyingly sweet, allowing you to enjoy the generous lashings of chocolate on your waffles and crepes. For something fun, get a Chocolate Shot - suitable for all ages! Other must-trys include their chocolate-covered Rice Krispies and Donut Waffles.
One step into Ben's and your mood will be lifted instantly with its cheery decor and long list of desserts. While you might feel spoilt for choice, don't waste any time and head straight for the Macadamia Cheesecake Sundae. This sinful, messy creation will have you scooping chunks of macadamia cheesecake together with ice cream and caramel into one perfect mouthful. If what you crave is chocolate, then the super rich Chocolate Truffle Torte is the perfect choice. The tall glass of fresh milk served alongside is the perfect accompaniment to wash down this decadent dessert that is best shared.
Looking for a great spot for tea and pastry? Look no further than Yeast, a charming Parisian bistro, boulangerie and wine bar all in one. While it's reputed for brunch and dinner, the pastries and tarts here deserve your full attention. The Pain Au Chocolat - in all its simplicity -will make you swoon. Indulge in warm, buttery puff pastries like the tuna croissant and the Nutella puff, and finish off with a sweet, fresh strawberry tartlet that just might be the best in the country. The smell of freshly baked bread will make it hard to resist buying everything in sight, and you might find yourself carrying a few loaves home. Although Yeast has higher prices than most, Burpple Tastemaker Edric Lee says, "it may be expensive but it's definitely worth it".
Serving one-of-a-kind cakes made in-house, Swich has been baking up a storm with their original and authentically Malaysian take on desserts. Their Mangosteen Cake and the Cempedak Cake are huge hits, boasting flavours that will transport you home with each bite. The Mangosteen Cake is a beautiful creation of soft, light sponge coated in a delectable mangosteen cream frosting and topped with juicy mangosteens. As for surprising your durian-loving best friend on their birthday, order the Durian Mud Pie Cake - it is almost too good to be true with all its gooey goodness coated with durian love!
The cake is great for those who are not really into too sweet desserts. We love how they use Nutella as topping for the chocolate butter cake. They even put kinder bueno as decos which we really enjoyed. We went to the Teapot Terrace during tea time. There were a number of desserts you can choose from, their Victoria Sponge Cake is quite nice too. Sweet, but not too sweet. Just the right amount of strawberry jam & whipping cream for the sponge cake. Plus the tea! They served the tea from those fancy teapots; where we would have to pour the tea ourselves into these big fancy cups. Something that really had that British-y feeling to it. Cause of course, they're English tea. They have to be served in an English way.
