Signature Roasted Coconut Shake A concoction of coconut flesh, fresh coconut juice and coconut ice cream. The coconut meat comes with a choice of chunky / bits where the chunky ones are less blended with larger coconut pieces and bits are more blended smoothly. The roasted coconut shake was fragrant with nice roasty flavours and crunchy/chunky coconut bits to chew. It’s perfect for a warm day but prices are on the higher side compared to their competitors. Signature Roasted Coconut Shake ($6.90), Hazelnut Coconut Shake ($6.90). 1-for-1 with #burpplebeyond! There are 2 major coconut shake camps; Cocoboss and Mr Coconut. Having tried Mr Coconut, I was curious about how Cocoboss differed as I heard that it’s pretty solid too. Although we weren’t allowed to order the OG coconut shake with Burpple Beyond, we were also happy to try the other flavours. However upon asking, the staff weren’t sure of what the flavours were made of, possibly syrup. Both the roasted and hazelnut flavours were slightly similar in terms of the brown sweetness, with the roasted one slightly burnt while the hazelnut was pretty nutty, toasted and hint of earthiness. Overall less creamy than I had expected and the options of chunks and bits didn’t differ too much except that chunks was less ice blended while bits was more ice blended. Thanks to Burpple Beyond, we enjoyed 2 flavored coconut shakes at the price of 1!

Not filling though. 3) Squid Ink Pasta with prawns- nothing really special, prawns were fresh though.

teriyaki chicken don $19.90 decent portion and taste. worth it only if you have burpple beyond 1-for-1. miso soup is rather weak. spacious restaurant and nice ambience to have your meal and chill afterwards. friendly staff. (this space used to be Escape which served buffet but Escape has moved to Level 6 and no longer serve buffet)

For 1-for-1 Teriyaki Chicken Don/ Fish Katsu (Weekdays) (save ~$21.90) SOCIEATY is the new multi-concept restaurant by Les Amis Group, featuring the best of the group’s favourite offerings, all under one roof! A place where diners can look forward to mixing and matching their cuisines, try out their Teriyaki Chicken Donburi Set ($19.90) which includes teriyaki boneless chicken thigh, onsen egg, Japanese pickles, plus a side of miso soup and refillable salad! Mui kee Porridge This is a very wholesome meal. I always find comfort in Mui Kee frog legs porridge. Although Mui kee is famous for its parrot fish porridge, the frog legs porridge is also pretty well done.

Unagi Don Slice of grilled freshwater eel glazed with eel sauce served on a bed of rice, onsen egg, red pickled ginger then topped with nori and white sesame seed. The eel was tender with slightly crisp skin. The addition of onsen egg adds creaminess to the bowl 》$19.90

Bara Chirashi Don A generous portion of sashimi cubes with a good selection of raw fish. The fishes were fresh and it also comes with salad and miso soup to complete the meal. It’s not the best but worth considering if you want somewhere decent and quiet to satisfy your donburi cravings 》$19.90

taiwan street food portions were great! ordered a few taiwan street food but my fav would be the mala flavoured enoki mushroom, super yummy! will definitely come back to try more dishes soon 😋

Ah Bao Braised Stew 🍲 Ah Bao Braised Stew ($7.80) (7/10) Comes with an assortment of ingredients like rice cake, meat balls, mushroom, quail eggs and more. The serving size is a bit smaller but its still worth it given the variety of ingredients you get. I personally still prefer regular braised pork rice, but stew lovers should try this.

Soju shots $1.50/shot Picture on the menu showed a Ferris wheel but we got a guitar instead. 😂 Perhaps they thought we were too cool. Totally gimmicky but we just got this for the laughs. The lights on it kind of went off after an hour or so - I think it went out of battery. The soju shots appeared to be full but we realised that the lychee in the shot glass took up half of the space inside it. It was still a nice sweet touch to it though. We enjoyed drinking from our colourful guitar, alternating the salty lokloks with the sweet soju and lychees. Finding the shop was a bit shady as a whiff of cigarette smoke overwhelmed me when I entered the mall, followed by some pretty girls in short dresses and high heels walking past me. The loklok shop itself was fine though - the dining area is in a dimly lit bar, with high chairs and all. There’re two screens in the bar where they play and screen karaoke songs. You can ask for the mic if you’re brave (or drunk) enough to sing in front of all the customers. At some point I think some of the staff were singing some Chinese songs. Good for groups With our group of 5, we were able to redeem 2 Burpple deals hence $10 off for 10 sticks! They also sold soju at $15 per bottle for 3 bottles, and have cute Ferris wheel shots for those that like to take photos. This place may be hard to find, and seemingly ulu, but we had a good time, the food was good and the atmosphere was chill.

Coconut Lychee Cooler / Pineapple Orange Tango The Coconut Lychee Cooler falls short with an artificial-tasting coconut syrup that overpowers its homemade lychee juice and sparkling water. Meanwhile, the Pineapple Orange Tango is refreshing, perfectly balanced with pineapple juice, orange wedges and a fizzy ginger ale twist.

Chips de Canela Served warm, the crispy flour tortillas were coated in cinnamon sugar and paired with vanilla ice cream, chocolate hazelnut sauce, and fresh fruits. But sadly, the flavours didn’t quite come together. The tortilla was overwhelmingly dominant and despite all the toppings, I found it hard to taste much else and I ended up not finishing it 》$16

black sesame peanut butter ($10.90) this was rly nice and creamy and surprisingly both flavours went q well tgt! the peanut butter mostly predominated but you can taste lil pops of bssm throughout

Golden Osmanthus Pineapple Tart From KELE 桂花黄梨塔 Only $38.80 per tin, approximately 850gm. Deliciously fragrant pineapple tarts with a delightful twist, highly recommended for a unique and flavourful treat. It is a joy to get it here with the friendly service crew from the flagship store.

Boozy mooncake The avocado was clearly the better flavour, like ice cream! Can’t really taste the booze in the rest but the skin and filling was decent. Not too sweet. Could be more flavourful tho.

Bland Food The panini was quite the disappointment as I was looking forward to having something simple. When I opened the sandwich it was only to discover that the guacamole was close to the color of black and the veggies completely wilted. Perhaps they reheated the whole thing in the sandwich maker? Ambiance is nice, but on this hot afternoon it feels like the aircon is struggling.

Lovely Ambience But... We ordered Grilled Ebi Miso and Sakura Mentaiko Smoked Salmon, with Iced White Choc Mocha. Pasta sauces were too watery. Though the Grilled Ebi tastes good, but the sauce was a tad too salty. The mocha lack the coffee taste and tasted more like Iced Chocolate. I love the ambience but the food can be much further improved.

Iced Long Black, Home Made Lemon Tea and Triple Chocolate Brownie Wanna Cuppa is a quaint and beautiful venue with reasonable prices nett. Iced Long Black was smooth and Lemon tea was not overly sweet or sour. The ice-cream on the brownie (pun intended) was an awesome end to the date for us.
