Herbal peppery pork rib soup cannot be described with words. Craving for this finally satisfied. Perfectly peppery enough for me who's not into spicy food. Good for a cooling night.
Brunch within a rustic themed cafe really brought back memories of olden times. Loved how they used tin cans as decorations, kopi mugs to serve their drinks and mild pastel like coloured plates that were vibrant in their own way. We had a Carbonara with their own handmade pasta, Lasagna that was vegetarian but with good toppings, croissant and Egg Benedict that was only $10 with smoke salmon! Just delicious! Some were a lil pricy but overall just worth the experience.
Poached eggs with smoked salmon. Buttermilk waffles with Greek yogurt and fresh strawberries. Truffle fries. The waffles are just awesomely soft and made ready upon order. It would have been better with the cool ice cream. This cafe has a fantastic rustic feel to it, makes you relive olden days and it's so cosy, especially on the rainy day that I went. The poached eggs were awesome and they burst when you pop them. Haha. The people working there are really nice, one of them even made jokes with my friends and I. It's a great place to be at, but can be a little pricey.
Their known vanilla crepe cake was just soft enough and not too sweet. Really lives up to their standard for famous haha. & the other was a deep rich chocolate cake with mousse layers.
Sausage with scrambled eggs. Bacon with scrambled eggs. Roast need sandwich. Together with roasted and mashed potatoes and refreshed house iced tea. Yummy good affordable food in the middle of SUTD. Students here have a special discounted price.
Was around Changi Village and wanted dessert after dinner so yea finally got to visit this little cafe in the corner of CV that's just beside the ferry terminal to pulau ubin. The cake is really good. The crust is pure oreo crust. Like wow. And it's a baked kind. So interesting. Love the cute choco deco on the plate. Look at that bear!!! Next time I'm gonna go for their 3D foam art on their coffees hehe. I will try to drink coffee for that!
SUPERB FOR A COLD DAY DEFINITELY! The soup is slightly more herbal but still peppery. But it's not too peppery which is just awesome for a amateur spicy eater like me. Meat is well cooked and just soft and slightly chewy. Tastes great with the black sauce and some chilli. Shiokkkk haha. Definitely to try if you're in the west!
I'm a sucker for soupy kway teow and so I totally fell in love with Nam Nam's Beef Pho. Their soup is thick and full of flavour yet not too salty. A lil spicy due to chilli for those who aren't game for spicy. But if you take the chilli out before mixing it's good. And the mint leaves gave the soup a refreshing taste. & the beef is just heavenly haha. I'm not a huge beef eater but their beef was sliced just nice to be eaten well. Easier to be chewed and just awesome. For a cold this, THIS IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED HAHA!

Jp is having an Aug promo in commemoration of National Day, an Asian Western fusion promo menu. So I tried the NZ Beef Tenderloin with Crispy Honey Prawn Wanton. I had a medium steak and it was good. Cooked good yet not too tough for me. The sauce was an interesting sauce, slightly sweet to suit the prawn wanton. However it's not entirely special. Should have tried other dishes. But this dish redeemed my faith in Jack's Place's steaks. Thank you! Haha! Still think their steaks have standard. But if you are tight on budget, I wouldn't go for this. But to spend this amount on such good quality once in awhile is still worth. My dish was the most ex on the promo menu of $28.50 before GST and service charges. Check their daily set lunch of other signature steaks at affordable pricing.

The famous lobster bisque that is unique at Jack's place. The thick soup that is cooked at the central kitchen then dispatched out to the various outlets so that there is consistency in the flavour and texture. Thick with chunks of lobster. Awesome stuff together with the garlic bread to warm your stomach before your meal. The all time fave of my fave man. Hehe
