pulled pork, avocado and poached eggs atop rye toast! the pulled pork was really nice with a good smoky flavour!

this was served with two english muffins, crab cakes and poached eggs drizzled with hollandaise sauce. the egg was poached nicely with a runny yolk. portion was generous and filling. service was also superb with the staff being really attentive and helpful!

back for more because of their student meal which basically absorbs the cost of the meal so you get a meal for the price of the burger! got the smoky bbq this time and was not disappointed at all! the mushroom patty was flavourful and the addition of bbq sauce complemented the burger well. instead of fries, I also got the broccoli this time. the broccoli was much better today than on my previous visit; it was cooked and seasoned perfectly with just tinge of tangyness. definitely worth the money!!

this cake was actually what drew us into the cafe in the first place! the slice was rather big and I really enjoyed how the cake wasn’t overly sweet with bittersweet matcha cream and dark chocolate that complemented the mildly sweet sponge really well! would definitely return for their cakes!

the portion is rather substantial (photo shows half!) with two sunny side ups atop pulled pork on pita bread. the pulled pork was flavourful and the pita was soft and fluffy. only gripe is that the presentation of this dish was a little underwhelming which explains the cut up and replated dish in the photo πŸ˜‚

ordered this at 0% sugar but was pleasantly surprised that it was still mildly sweet because of the pineapple, passion fruit, strawberries and lime added! the base of peach oolong was also refreshing! for $4.80, I think it’s cheaper than fruit teas elsewhere plus they have nice little seating area for you to sit and enjoy your drink so really worth visiting in my opinion!

the rice was fluffy and sticky, but lacked the taste of yuzu or ume that the menu claims it has. it’s also supposed to be topped with sashimi but ours came more towards the cooked side. as a whole, it was ok, but at the same price point, I would personally stick to their mains instead.

salmon and mentaiko are a match made in heaven 😍 paired it with soba and it went really well together! mix it a little to coat the soba with mentaiko and it’s absolutely delicious! added an egg for $1 but for $10.90 it’s definitely a value for money meal especially since it’s in cbd.

didn’t have very high expectations but wow, seriously amazed that this is vegan! the buns appeared dry but were fluffy and soft, and the sauce was reminiscent of the actual satay sauce. I could tell that the patty wasn’t made of meat, but not that it made the burger any less delicious! would definitely go back to try out the other burgers!

Stepping into the shop, I was greeted by the aroma of freshly made thyme cones and just the smell was already so tempting! Definitely had to get one to pair with my scoop of gelato! The gelato itself was delightful: not cloyingly sweet but refreshing and light.

Was looking for a warm bowl of noodles on a rainy day and decided on this bowl that comes with sukiyaki beef and a poached egg. Soba was good without being too soft. The broth was tasty, albeit a little salty, but bonito broth is provided by the side to dilute the soup so all was good!

I’ve always preferred eating tonkotsu ramen but this dry ramen has probably changed that. This bowl looks deceptively simple but the taste was really good! The ramen was chewy with a good bite and the meat sauce was nicely seasoned with a hint of spice so there was a nice kick to it!
