🎶Hey, I just met you & this is crazy~ But here's my number, so COFFEE maybe~🎶 No more time to make your own Dalgona COFFEE at home? ☕ Fret not - you can now enjoy it at @walkingonsunshine.cafe ($7+) 😉 . Featuring a thicccc creamy layer of fresh espresso atop fresh milk 🥛, this smooth cuppa is topped with real Dalgona candy - South Korea's retro sugar candy! 🍬 To me it tasted like honeycomb, with a nice crunch & deep caramelised flavours. Certainly sweetened up the cuppa! 🌟

🎶We fell in love so unEGGpectedly~🎶 An EGGcellent choice for brunch at @walkingonsunshine.cafe is their Fried Eggs with Garlic Mushroom ($18.50)! 😍😍😍 While the colours may not be really enticing, this is perfect for those who dislike vegetables! 😉 . Featuring 2 perfectly executed sunny side-up eggs 🍳, earthy wild mushrooms 🍄 which are absolutely juicy, springy white enoki mushrooms 😋, topped with crushy macadamia bits 🥜, these would certainly add colours to the accompanying sourdough toast! 🥖 Really like the crusty exterior surface & the fluffy interior - bread lovers unite! 😎 . If you are a mushroom lover, this dish would be right up your alley! 💕

Great Place For Girls Hangout! This is a good place to hangout with your girlfriends over food! It have such a beautiful theme covered with flowers. Moving on to food, We’ve ordered salmon avocado bowl($13.50) , yangnyeom popcorn chicken ($10) & kimchi fries($10). The salmon avocado bowl taste great! The salmon is fresh, avocado is perfectly ripe and creamy, and the sauce on the rice goes well with everything. The price is also so worth it as the rest are mostly in their $18~$20s. Yangnyeom popcorn chicken & kimchi fries are from their bar bites section. We gotten the popcorn chicken in replace to the more expensive yangnyeom chicken in their main sections because that cost like $21! So I feel this so much more worth it to have a taste of the sauce. Well... it’s so worth it! But as for the kimchi fries I think there can be more flavor to it as the fries and the sauce doesn’t blend in well together. Nonetheless, I feel the bar bites are worth it as sharing platters as they have arrays of dishes.

Bánh Bèo Xứ Quảng I’m not a usual fan of Vietnamese food as I find it a little too mild for my liking, but the Vietnamese fare at MOC Cottage is surprisingly legit and tasty! What intrigued me the most is the appetiser Bánh Bèo Xứ Quảng ($14). The steamed rice cakes with shrimp, fried shallots and scallion oil reminds me of a Vietnamese version of chwee kueh:P Pretty good with a dash of chilli sauce. Overall, MOC Cottage is quite a pleasant surprise!

Bún Thịt Nướng Chả Giò I’m not a usual fan of Vietnamese food as I find it a little too mild for my liking, but the Vietnamese fare at MOC Cottage is surprisingly legit and tasty! There is a one-for-one deal on Burpple Beyond for mains and we decided to go for the Bún Chả Hà Nội (vermicelli with grilled pork belly served with warm fish sauce - $17) and Bún Thịt Nướng Chả Giò (fresh rice noodles with mixed vegetables, grilled sliced pork and fried spring rolls - $17). The sliced pork, pork belly and pork patty are flavourful, fragrant and a good match with the refreshing rice noodles. The spring roll is crispy and delicious too. Overall, MOC Cottage is quite a pleasant surprise!

Good quality tasty Vietnamese foods at a upper end side Being a Vietnamese, I have always been a bit more critical at Vietnamese foods when trying national dishes overseas. At Moc Cottage, surprisingly and pleasantly, the foods don’t disappoint me at all. We order the Hanoi style grilled fatty pork with vermicelli and the Grilled sliced pork (17++) and fried spring rolls with vermicelli (17++). The meat taste is of good quality and well seasoned (a bit stronger if you are new to fish sauce), the herb is fresh and the cook seems to put attention in the dish arrangement which clearly accentuate each component. The portion is actually bigger than it looks so that’s another plus. The high F&B price can discourage new patrons when compared with other Vietnamese restaurants. However, I definitely recommend friends to try Moc Cottage as an introduction to the cuisine. And don’t forget to make use of Burpple beyond deal.

Nai Bai Shimeji ($13) Used to be obsessed with naibai when at zichar stalls! This was clean tasting and I personally like the combi of shimeij, naibai & capsicums fried with garlic, so yup pretty decent dish too! -W

Braised Seafood Vermicelli ($15) There was a very slight wokhei taste, the broth was not bad. Pretty decent dish! There was a strange aftertaste tho, not sure if they used MSG. -W

Value-for-money 4-course Sets 👍🏻 Came here for the burpple beyond but got the four-course sets instead! Costs $29 each and after gst and service charge, $34 each!! Definitely much more value-for-money than getting ala carte dishes. I think the sirloin main course itself is alr $33 and the mango sago dessert is $9??? Also, it comes with free flow coffee/tea 😋 There were two choices for the set menu and we got one of each since the min. order was 2. The left column is the Asian Set while on the right is the Western Set. Can’t rmb the fancy names of the dishes so err ya haha 🥡Asian Set🥡 1) Salmon potato ball/cake salad 2) 3 egg spinach soup 3) Braised seafood white bee hoon 4) Mango sago with ice cream 🍴Western Set 🍴 1) Smoked salmon salad 2) Cream of pumpkin 3) Sirloin with asparagus and mashed potato 4) Brownie with ice cream On the whole, the food was enjoyable. The colour of the seafood bee hoon wasn’t what we expected though, a bit too brown right?? But the prawns were large. Also, the medium-well beef was quite bloody so we requested for it to be cooked more but it became well done instead... yeah but it’s ok la the welldone wasn’t too tough or anything! Service is good and ambience not bad, not crowded for a Friday night. Although spending $10/$15+ for a zichar dish like seafood bee hoon may be unusual, u shld give this place a try 🙂

Healthier Chicken Rice Tender chicken breast cubes with shredded carrots, cucumber chunks, brown rice and chilli. Nothing much to shout about on taste but if you are looking for a healthy, not heavily seasoned kind of food, this would be your go to. Used to taste better, brown rice was also slightly softer and had a nicer infused taste to it. Would do better with some ginger sauce in my opinion. $8.60 for two bowls with Burpple Beyond’s 1 for 1 deal. Get 30% off subscription using this link: https://www.burpple.com/invite/QIWE944

Healthier Yet Delicious Nasi Lemak Healthier version of nasi lemak but not compromising on the taste. Replacing the rice with quinoa, peanuts with almonds, fried egg with onsen egg etc. The quinoa has a nice coconut taste to it, and the chicken is tender yet flavorful with spices. Almonds are super crunchy. Each element in this dish complements each other very well. Chilli is slightly spicy for me but gives a very nice spicy kick to it. I like breaking the yolk into the quinoa and mixing it all in. Portion wise is just nice! $8.60 for two bowls with Burpple Beyond’s 1 for 1. Lo-Cal Chicken Rice ($8) Unassuming but undoubtedly delicious! Even after leaving it in the fridge for 5 hours and then warming it up in the oven, the sous vide chicken was impossibly tender and juicy. The homemade chilli sauce was also a good blend of sweet and spicy. However, something that could be better would be to add more vegetables, as the shredded carrots and cucumber slices were quite measly.
