Donuts are geared towards the chewy side with the yeasty taste which kinda feel like a Jap bread to me.

Likewise, the spreading isn't that gao either but it is not something I could hiam but might not crave for it though they have interesting flavors like MSW.

On a happier note, DINE IN is comingggggg woohoo. What a great news for the long weekend.

Had the 5 for $3.50 Kueh with Coconut and Peanut Fillings because i don't know what's in the Original (lol didn't ask them either)

Love how soft this is. Prolly go for 5 coconuts the next round. 😍

Lava Kaya from Jo-yi Bakery.

Love the lava. Kaya is a little sweet but pairs well with the mochi. Bread is little dense compare to Thai Baang but still a pretty decent old sch kind of traditional tin bread.

Back here again after a few months for an upsize plate of Hokkien Mee which IMO is damn niceee when dine.

Instantly regret not buying an even larger portion after eating when I saw people with a black plate and I'm like 🥺🥺.

I might have to go for a $6/$8 next round. $4 is too little, $5 is shiok but not enough hahahaha. The noodles are well coated with soup with generous AMT of pork lards, pork belly. Nothing to complain. I guess this is easily my top 3 Hokkien Mee.

Came back again to dine in after seeing the generous sauces.

Ordered the 三拼set to savor all their meat and $1.50 more to try duck so why not hor. Then thought add egg also not bad so bam, this plate of rice costs $10. Is decent just pretty expensive.

Got my Soy fix today without any queue 🥳🥳.

Though I kinda queue for 40mins last week and tried Soymilk Tea with White Jade Balls, Mango Pomelo Sago with Soymilk and Refreshing Watermelon Soymilk.

Personal fav goes to Mango for the refreshing taste and jellies but the signature drink is pretty interesting too!

I kinda enjoy the slightly salty foam, the mochi and the beancurd in it (though I don't even bean curd on its own). GOT ME 🤩🤩 when I first tried it.

Would definitely try more of their drinks but thus far, I would recommend Mango > Signature Soy > Watermelon.

Do give this a try if you are around Paya Lebar. It's really good 🥳🥳🥳

Rolled over last weekend to try and I guess I found my best alternative after Bami express.

Personally, my vote goes to Bami as it is on the heavier side - in terms of taste (and more generous on the chicken liver pate).

Bread wise, both are really crusty so nothing to hiam and it is more affordable over here too. Best of all, they are open daily till late!!! (bami only opens for 5 hrs on weekdays 🥺🥺)

MALA in CBD area with Spicy Chicken ( 辣子雞), Crispy Fermented Pork Belly, Fried Kang Kong and Salted Egg Chicken.

It was a little spicy for me. Portion wise, could be bigger

Just had a super value for money Steamboat/BBQ with Burpple beyond at Lao Dong Bei BBQ, located in Chinatown Food Street.

For 19.90 (Mon-Thurs) and 22.90 (Fri-Sun) nettttt, per pax only cost 9.95/11.45!!! What a steal ayeee. It was pretty crowded for us on a Friday night but i was satisfied.

Got to say this chocolate cake won my heart the first time I tried it. It was soft and moist. Very chocolatey - the way I like it. Only downside would probably be - it is a little too sweet for me but overall still fab (don't even know that this cake shop is older than me)

One of the crispest Carrot cake I ever had!!! Queued for approx.40-50 mins along side with the hokkien mee and I would say, it is worth it. Probably should order >1 packets and the biggest portion to sin at one go 🥺

Queued a fair bit for the hokkien mee but I truly enjoyed it. It's the wet version (I prefer this more) with generous amount of sauces and lard. I even takeaway a second serving 🥺
