With the influx of foreign talents such as Pablo and Bake, I felt a sense of patriotism (it's still August 🇸🇬) buying these beauties. I've lost count the number of times I've walked out with a happy box of goodies. And unlike their cheesy Japanese counterparts, Tarte keeps coming up with new flavours to keep your taste buds tingling!

If you ever have a pancake craving, this is the place for you. They're light and fluffy with just a hint of sweetness so that you can still drown them in glorious maple syrup (ask for more!). It comes with a wad of coconut butter and berry compote which go perfectly with the unflavoured pancakes (supposedly vanilla but tbh my unrefined palate couldn't pick that up ). Just get ready for the food coma that follows 😴

Call me boring, but I just can't resist a molten chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream when it's on the menu. The perfect way to end a postcall lunch. Thankfull heh☺️

The star of this dish has to be the broth. I can't pinpoint what makes it so good but I literally drank the whole bowl up right to the very last drop. It's a perfect balance of sweet, savoury and sour 👌

This is a dish I wouldn't normally gravitate towards but thanks to their lunch sets, I got to try it and it was delicious. The cured prawns were fresh and unexpectedly a great match with the banana slices

Discovered this new DIY donburi eatery while window shopping in 313. I would say all this for 13.90 is pretty bang for your buck (and now they're having a 2nd bowl at 50% promotion!!!) . I liked that they did not drown their sashimi /rice with too much marinade, so I could still taste the freshness of the fish. They are quite generous with the pickled radish (which cuts through the richness of the fatty fish) so if you're not a fan then maybe ask them to replace it with more... tamago ? Hahaha no harm trying ! Go try this soon before the promotion swims away~

Set in a beautiful colonial house, you would expect at least decent brunch grub. What we had instead was cold mushrooms, soggy rosti, bread that was probably toasted when I was still in my mom's ovary, and eggs that look more curdled than scrambled. What a waste of a Long drive!

The combination of flavours and textures is 👌

lobster meat, burrata and bursts of caviar with every mouthful made this my Favourite dish of the lot💯
