Store have been serving delicious noodles for over a decade and is still keeping up their standard.
Expect to queue for atleast 10mins anytime of the day.

Although they are famous for their bar chor mee (minced meat noodles), their curry noodles is also really nice. Served together with tender steamed white chicken meats and fish cake, along with thick curry soup that's not too salty non oily.

Eta: the amount of fried pork lard is awesome!

This roasted meat place serves roasted chicken, duck, pork belly and char siew. Their menu include soya sauce chicken as well as dry noodles topped with any selection of their meats.

Originated in Chinatown years ago but have since moved to Hougang more than 10yrs ago, truly a blessing to the residents nearby.

Famous for their Roast Duck and Char Siew, be sure to try it out. However, would prefer their noodles over the rice as they do not serve "chicken rice" the oily rice version.

Egg-citing Japanese cafe located @Nex
With a menu that's all egg-related.

Honestly speaking, I love eggs. High hope for this newly open cafe at Nex mall serangoon.
Was told that all the eggs used in this cafe are "UV sterilizated" originated from Okinawa, Japan which are supposed to be healthier?

Varieties of choice are offered in the menu from Egg skewers omelettes to donburi, omu rice and even souffle pancakes.
Recommended to bring a few friends along to try out their Ala Carter menu.
PS: I brought along 5 others so I managed to order almost everything on the menu.

Recommended dishes:
5-kind Japanese omelette skewers -$8.80
Beef stew Omu rice -$16.80
Hashimaki with cheese mentaiko -$4.80
Chocolate Terrine -$7.80

House of Japanese Beef Steaks & BBQ located at CHIJMES!
Awesome beef ribeye cooked to perfection on top of traditional Japanese charcoal BBQ.

However, marinated meat (beef and pork) tend to be on the sweeter and slightly salty side.

Side note: Skip the steaks as they are sub par but go for the garlic fried rice, and oyster for a mix of varieties.

PS: You could request the staff to cook the bbq meat for you with your preferred doneness.

Hidden gem at the basement of Golden Mile Tower.

Waited for 30mins as they run out of rice during lunch hour. $6 for this plate is actually really worth it. Really live up to their name "King of Fried Rice"!

Known as the Ambrosia of Uni in Singapore.
Located at the basement of "The Plaza" which is just beside Pan Pacific Suite Singapore, can be challenging to find it's location for 1st timer.

Restaurant serves a wide selection of fresh raw Uni, from the Canadian Aka Uni which is one of the world largest Uni, to the Japanese Bafun Uni that have a natural sweet taste and the beautiful Russian Bafan Uni that look like a flower.

Going for the Uni Sampler Set of 5types at $98 is recommended for those trying out Uni for the 1st time.

Restaurant also serves a wide selection of sashimi, steak and fried food for those who would like to have other varieties.

Uni Dry Sake shot would be my recommendation for those daredevil that would like to challenge themself, strong sake combine with sweet mouth watering Bufun Ubi, makes a perfect combination to get you drunk without you realizing.

Restaurant is rather small with only 2 waiters, waiting time is rather long and order can be miss out. Check constantly remind the waiter of your missing order and also be mindful to check your bill.

Sidenote: Do call in for reservations even on a weekday to avoid disappointment. Also do check if on their Uni selection of the day as they run out of those top grade Uni airflow from overseas.

Recommended dishes:
1) Uni Dry Sake Shot
2) Uni with Sturgeon Caviar & Crab meat
3) Uni Sampler Set

Lobster theme buffet with more than 10 lobster dishes, from basic fresh lobster, bbq baby lobster to lobster thermidor and lobster bisque. There's anyways a lobster dish for everyone.

Dessert bar with chocolate fondue as well as fresh durian fillings.
There's also a DIY rojak & kueh pie tee station for those who would like to "prepare" something for their love ones.

However, it's kinda disappointing for the amount of choices given, so, do not visit this buffet with high hope. 😤

Price at $148++ for 2 via online booking promo code "eatbook" instead of the usual $188++

Great selections of seafood at reasonable prices.
Dinner set was good at $78++ per pax.

Finally get to try out Empurau fish, the most expensive freshwater river fish which are considered so rare and tasty that they are referred to as "The Unforgettable Fish" (忘不了鱼) in Chinese.
However, the only thing that's unforgettable would be the price of $33/100g. This $800 fish doesn't taste as legendary as described on other websites.😤

This chain restaurant specialises in chicken and mutton curry baked completely inside a fluffy bread loaf.
Speciality menu includes;
Curry chicken Bun -$14.80
Ginseng salted chicken -$28.80
Golden salted prawns -$30.00

Delivery can be made on the same day or order in advance with a minimum order of $18.00 + $3.50 delivery charges.

Food delivery was punctual, delivered hot and everything packed nicely. Although the food is not as delectable as we would like it to be, it is still a good choice for office lunches and smaller group events.
