The rack of lamb, or lamunokarubi, is a type of yakitori, grilled over binchotan, a charcoal that burns on a low heat ensuring the meat is cooked slowly.

The lamb was cooked very well, still pink ok the inside with burnt and charred bit on he skin and fat, which brought out the musky aroma that is typical of lamb. Highly recommended.

The Carpenter's Daughter is an artisanal bakery that's all about using organic and natural ingredients. They incorporate heart-healthy ingredients and offer low GI, gluten-free and whole wheat breads, without compromising taste. If you're health-conscious and/or have allergies, you'll want to check them out. Get the gourmet bread platter to sample a little of everything - artisan foccacia, seven grain, sourdough and more! The pumpkin loaf is a winner, but if you'd like to treat yourself a little, go for the Italian squares.
Haven't seen anywhere else do this, so as an asam laksa fanatic, I was automatically intrigued. I thought it would be a gimmick thing but it was actually pretty good! Very flavorful and has more of that distinct laksa taste compared to many regular soup laksa stalls. They have air conditioning too, which is always a plus!
Individually, Monster felt that the salted egg yolk sauce was slightly towards to sweeter side. But as you mix in the bacon and the duck which were both salty, the sweeter sauce brought a balance to the dish.
Monster thinks this is definitely one of the more inventive dishes that worked well.

After Black somehow is also famous for their meals so I decided to try it. I had their ultimate value set meal with a choice of Garlic Herb Roasted Whole Chicken Leg with Carbonara Linguine (RM17.90).
The pasta was okay, but what I love was the generous parmesan cheese sprinkle on top of it. The chicken was unexpectedly good! Most of the time I don't like to recommend heavy meals served on cafes but this is an exception. The chicken was grilled tenderly with strong herb flavor. The additional honey drizzle empowers the herb flavor. It will be even more perfect if they drizzle more honey on it!
