This was a place that brings feelings of comfort home cooked meal ! Really enjoyed the kampong chicken, silky skin and tender meat; getting rare to see ginger paste with chilli ☺️
The fresh cockles were also nice, fresh & briny and addictive. Alll in all, an enjoyable meal you can have with family & friends.
Dinner at True Cost was a great dining experience.
Service was good & attentive and the view was great.
We had a few starters to share and my favourite was the roasted bone marrow - so much flavour and we ate it with some bread. And my octopus pasta was Al dente & delicious. We had the pina colada to wash down a great meal ! Yummyz 😋
Had the bangers and mash and my dinner mate had the fish & chips. Both were good choices and the fish was esp good ! Wash down with a Guinness and the meal was complete - a good one indeed ☺️
Had the Fortune claypot prawn noodles and wow, the flavourful broth is really a must try. Very yummy and the claypot kept it hot. It’s a walk from Tai Seng mrt but I would go again for sure.
For a straightforward western meal , you can’t go wrong with Meat N Chill. The food is good, service is attentive. My favourite fries is from McDonald’s but I think it’s overtaken by the fries here, hahah !
All in, food & price is good.

313 Somerset and boy, was I blown away ! My companion and I ordered the recommended spicy pork ribs and beef rib soup and we literally scraped the bottom of the pot of the spicy pork ribs. It was so delicious and the meat was falling off the bone. The sauce went well with the rice balls. We had to shape the rice balls ourselves and we can do it whatever size you want. All in all, a very good dinner and I am looking forward to try other dishes and maybe the spicy pork rib again 😋
I had never tried Chir Chir Chicken before so when we were deciding what to eat, my son suggested this. We ordered the garlicky soy chicken and the spicy topokki dish. The garlic was very savoury but not overpowering and the spicy topokki sauce was a match made in heaven for the deep fried squid in this dish. Very nice first time. Look forward to try other dishes next time !
