So delicious! Prawn-paste aroma was distinct and so utterly delightful, reminded me so fondly of the familiar har cheong gais in zichars. It’s batter was light and crisp, not overly cloying. The chicken thigh was, delightfully, a humongous portion which looked mouth-watering upon my first glance. It’s meat was oozing with juice, which really backed the reason why there was no need for a sauce.

Such a heavenly burger to satiate my appetite for the day. Really a good deal!

P.s. Grub is on eatigo and it’s occasionally 50% off. You’re welcome :)

Gyu Nami was definitely very generous with their beef, which came in large slices. They were soft and tender, and rather decent. The yogurt sauce and egg worked well with the beef, which could tend to be a bit dry since its roast beef.

However, this $10 bowl didn’t feel too filling and if you’re a big eater, you should definitely opt for the $13 portion, although it didn’t seem comparably a lot bigger.

Overall, a yummy beef bowl. 😍

Soft serve flavors came in 3 options - milk, cheese, or twist. I got my $8.50 soft serve in cow cow cheese, topped with a slice of cheesecake and 2 cookies! (Supposedly one but there was a promotion YAY)

Definitely a soft serve of quality, it’s creamy, velvety texture, a taste that is unforgettable and one that you’d wish you could keep on your tongue forever 😍 it’s sweet, milky flavour complemented so well with the slight savory element contributed by the cheeses. 🧀

Cheesecake was a small but substantial piece, just enough for the given amount of ice cream. The cookie flavors were - Salt & Camembert and Porcini & Gouda. Needless to say, they were delightful yummy.

In essence, I loved every single bit of this dessert and it would definitely be a lovely treat for me. 🥰💛

Soup was light and tasty, with just the right about of saltiness. 😋 Beef slices were thin but very tender, but weren’t too special. Noodles came in a generous portion and were nice and springy! Compared to other la mians around, the noodles from shi xiang ge really do stand out. $5 for a bowl definitely worth it 🤩

Priced at $18, I had this dish at a decent price point of $9. It was comforting pasta dish, but the truffle aroma unfortunately lacked a punch and the pasta was not al dente as I would’ve liked it to be and was in fact slightly undercooked. On the bright side, the mushrooms were big, juicy and really delicious! They were definitely the highlight of this dish. 😋 Not to forget, the shaved Parmesan definitely provided an umami kick that was delightful to taste.

My friend had the wagyu beef burger, but that was disappointing to say, pretty subpar and not a dish I will consider having again at its original price point of $24. Beef patty was yummy, however, not firm to the bite and also evidently smaller than the bun.

Overall, quite satisfactory considering the 1 for 1 deal, and the environment at Birdy’s was cosy and quiet - probably a good study spot for students!

Cream sauce didn’t have a distinct salted egg element to it, but not complaining as admittedly it can sometimes get cloying. Really yummy and soft shell crab was crispy and flavorful, complements very well with the pasta. 😋
