The tarts from @abrief.respite are probably one of the, if not the most, intricate and aesthetic tarts we have ever laid our eyes on! The gorgeous "𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴" 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘅 ($𝟱𝟴) featured:

𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗞𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗶 𝗬𝘂𝘇𝘂 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝘁
Kochi yuzu crémeux, Mango pomelo compote, Madagascan vanilla chantilly, Vanilla almond frangipane, Lemon confit, Fresh herb
This was the most refreshing out of all the tarts! Not only was it visually stunning, we could really taste each of the fruits incorporated into this tart. Definitely one for the fruit lovers.

Valrhona dark chocolate ganache, Pecan praline, Glenfiddich whisky whipped ganache, Valrhona 62% namelaka, Toasted pecan
We expected this to be surfeiting but were delighted by the boozy punch from the whipped whisky ganache. The combination of chocolate and alcohol worked seamlessly and we enjoyed this greatly.

Valrhona gianduja ganache, Salted hazelnut feuilltine crunchie, Passionfruit mousse, Toasted hazelnuts
The most “simple” looking tart, we did not expect to find fruity notes of passionfruit in the mousse ring atop the tart. Hazelnut lovers would enjoy this and the passionfruit mousse cuts through the richness.

Pistachio cremeux, Raspberry confit, Almond frangipane, Opalys lime whipped ganache, Toasted pistachio crunch

This was our favourite tart! We loved how the sourness of the raspberry complemented the pistachio and almond well. We just wish the pistachio flavour could be even more pronounced!

This basque cheesecake was extremely creamy but light and not surfeiting at all! Speckles of vanilla were visible throughout the cake and the aroma from the vanilla was very prominent. For those who enjoy a strong vanilla note in their cheesecakes, this is definitely the one for you.

The bakes by @abrief.respite are intricately crafted and one can see the purpose of every component in their tarts and how they all fit together!

𝘾𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙖𝙧 had an exciting new lunch menu. When we visited, the vibes there were cosy and chill - a contrast to the luscious metal tubs of fresh caviar which sat in front of us. Overall, the lunch tasting menu by Caviar was decent, but had nothing to shout about. With its fair share of hits and misses, we felt that one flaw was actually the lack of caviar. Perhaps a small little scoop would have sufficed - just for a taste! Nevertheless, we appreciated the effort that Caviar made in creating new flavours and bringing new items to the menu.

We started off their 4 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚 𝙡𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙝 𝙩𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙪 with the 𝙖𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙘𝙝𝙚: a small pastry filled with beef, truffle mushroom, and creme fraise, right from the chef’s selection!

Following this, we were served their 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙨𝙚𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙚. As always, house bread tastes the best, especially so when paired with their creamy homemade butter with seaweed.

The 𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙚𝙗𝙞 was a dish that featured fresh tiny prawns in a concoction of buttermilk and chestnut chunks. The sourness and tanginess paired well with the sweet seafood. The deep fried prawn head added a crispy touch!
