Ordered from the tapas menu where 4 dishes cost $36. Servings were big and the 2 of us were really full afterwards. We had the pork ribs, beef burger, portobello mushroom, and ceviche.

The pork ribs came with a sauce tasting similar to chili crab pasta. It was nice but wasn’t tender enough. The beef burger was dry and so was the portobello mushroom. Highlight of the meal was definitely that ceviche that was really refreshing.

Was looking for angel hair pasta in Singapore because I was craving it and chanced upon good reviews of this online. Generous servings of fresh scallops and creamy uni. The pasta also had a really delicious truffle taste. $88 served 2 people and it was really good. Totally would go again to try other items on their menu.

So good!! The pasta was really delicious. It looked dry but the consistency was just right. Would definitely go again. The chicken was really fried though so great for people who like fried chicken.

Had the chili crab pasta and berry waffles. Both were pretty average but for the price, it’s decent. The queue is long here during the weekend so remember to make a reservation!

Taste 6/10

Formerly known as The French Stall, Breton now serves French cuisine at a price that doesn’t break the bank.

The foie gras was buttery and smooth! It was nicely done but I feel like it would be even better if the slices were thicker. (Taste: 7.9/10)

Service was slow so be prepared to wait.

We ordered the set of 5 tapas for the price of $58++. Had the eggplant dip, octopus carpaccio, ceviche prawns, pan fried calamari, and churros. There was happy hour sangria for $10 a glass. The quality of food was good and portions were big however it was a little on the spicier side. (Taste: 6.9/10)

The restaurant is really cosy and great for dates. Service was also really good. We had a great time!

The pesto and tomatoes that came with this halloumi dish helped make the halloumi so much more tasty for us. It is already good on its own, perfectly grilled but the sweetness of the tomatoes and the pesto brought it up to a whole new level. (Taste: 9/10)

The Moussaka ($26) came piping hot with delicious cheese topped. The combination of meat, potatoes, eggplants and cheese was really good. This dish is suitable for sharing. It is one of the most flavorful moussaka’s I have had locally. (Taste: 8.5/10)

Bakalaki’s interior was really comfortable and it gave off a Mediterranean feel. It is a great place to go to if you want a cozy night out. Can’t wait to go back there to try the other dishes!

Located at the lobby of The Great Madras, The Great Mischief is a halal cafe that serves spanish tapas. The brunch Sunday menu did not look that interesting so we ordered from the tapas menu instead.

We had a Halloumi Con Cranberry ($10) which Is grilled cheese toppped with cranberry sauce and some salad + a Solomillo Con Queso De Cabra ($12), a sirloin meat with goat cheese, onions, red peppers and salsa on bread. The halloumi was over grilled however the cranberry sauce complemented it nicely. Both dishes had some salad which was nice. The sirloin dish wasn’t fantastic but it wasn’t bad either. Overall, it is very average. (Taste: 3.8/10)

A plus point is that this cafe had sofas and it would be nice if it wasn’t that hot outside!

Pasta J is pet friendly and it has great food. I have heard so much about the break up steak even before coming so we had to try it.

Upon arrival, Romeo, was immediately given a bowl of iced water by the friendly staff which he gleefully lapped up. When the steak arrived, he could smell it and got really excited too. Pasta J did not leave him out and brought some beef jerky treats for him.

The steak ($42.50+) was the right amount of fatty and lean, making it so juicy. We had ours medium rare and it was cooked that way, with some parts a little bit more medium. Overall, it tasted great and tender, melting in your mouth! It would be even better if the steak was a bit thicker. Still worth trying though! The steak came with pepper, salt, roasted carrots, mashed potatoes and mushrooms. The carrots were really sweet. (Taste: 8.3/10)

The cafe was spacious and we would come back again with Romeo to try the other things on the menu!

Brunch on a Monday afternoon was lovely. The place was not too crowded and it was really relaxing. We had a Gnocchi, Berry Muffcake and an ice Chocolate drink.

The berry Muffcake was fluffy and sweet, the combination of all the fruits, ice cream and yoghurt was perfect. (Taste: 8.7/10)
Serving was really generous. It is great for sharing. Now we really want to go back and try everything else!

Love the food and the environment! A great way to start the week.
