Another favorite supper meal for many Singaporeans. The battle of the bar chor mee has been like fashion and music. To each to his own. So which is your favorite?
If you're going to name yourself gyoza king, you better have some serious backing behind you. And viola, here with have their signature pork gyoza. The skin wasn't too thick and the fillings weren't too little. It wasn't too oily as well which was good. But there wasn't really much to compliment the dish. They had a set meal where you would have a bowl of rice and a side dish. Side dish was a little displeasing but nevertheless, the gyoza was the main show and it definitely showed up.
Pork chop fried rice. One of the few mentionable dishes that I really enjoyed. The egg that was fried into the rice added a nice flavor. The pork chop wasn't too oily and had a nice crisp to it. Eat it together with chili and viola a very yummy and affordable meal.
Sadly a big disappointment. The chicken was too tough and there wasn't enough Chinese wine added to it.
A crusty fried donut filled with plenty of cream cheese and premium ham, adds a delightful dimension to every bite. There is an unique array of exclusive artisanal breads, but sadly they were all sold out I'll be back for sure.
There isn't a need to fancy it up, the taste of the food speaks for itself. The fish being so fresh wouldn't need to pack a lot of different spices and flavor into it. People nearby would start queuing at 11 and it gets crazy long towards 12. You know it's good when people join the line even when it's super long. However, do note that Amoy food centre is under renovation till Feb 2015.
Sometimes we need a fast and yummy breakfast to kick start the day. Since young, I've always enjoyed the sausage mcmuffin from McDonald. It's not your top notch, creme of the crop burger. But you can't deny it's awesomeness.
The service at this place was good. Though the banchan (side dishes) wasn't that impressive as compared to the other Korean restaurants out there. However, the hot stone rice with beef was quite yummy. It just wasn't "nomg this is so delicious" yummy. Just something missing.
Pulled pork blurger. This other number from Two Blur Guys is another must try dish. Having tried pulled pork sandwiches in London, I've missed it. Having taste this, even though not authentic, brought similar memories. Definitely something to consider.
Starbucks can be quite costly at times but when the season is right, they come up with quite yummy drinks. Green tea latte has been one of my new favorites and this new Christmas drink is something special. A little crunch to go with your drink. #wueat #starbucks #sgeat #sgfood #sgfoodie #singapore #8dayseat #instaeat #instafood #instafoodie #christmas #burpple
I've heard a lot about the burgers of this place and decided that I should give it a go. It was wonderful I must say. The party was juicy and they did this wonderful thing whereby they grounded up the pickle to be part of the sauce. Ingenuous. Also, the burger isn't too big that you feel you overate and it isn't too small as well. #wueat #sgeat #sgfood #sgfoodie #8dayseat #instafood #instaeat #instafoodie #foodie #food #burger #singapore #burpple #eatoutsg
