When one thinks of #modsin, it's always lemongrass, coconut milk and gula Melaka stuff. โฃโฃ

My drink of choice was The Buffalo Road ($22): An Indian take on G&T, pink guava-infused gin with #vetiver and tonic. I was sold by the self-made vetiver #tincture. ๐๐ข๐บ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฏ. โฃโฃ

My friend chose Kamasutra ($22): House-infused garlic wine, caramelised pomegranate, basically ingredients great for health and libidos. โฃโฃ

Bar boss Yugi shared their house-infused liquors to us, I most impressed with Sajeera, Briyani, and not forgetting Ghee Liqueur, which I described as a bottle of liquid croissants, was thick-bodied, but the finish was as clear and clean as water. โฃโฃ

#elephantroomsg is a sweet and romantic homage to Little India and our Singaporean Indian culture. โฃโฃ

Damn this is some juicy chicken. It's butter chicken but I haven't drizzled the butter goodness.
Personally, it was great even without the sauce.
Definitely worth coming again for this thang.
I love the dignified restaurant setting, but the precious experience I had at Chinatown Food Centre was better. Rice tastes a little old, otherwise the soup is good. There's a free second soup refill, which is awesome!
Do not be fooled by their humble exterior, this casual Middle-eastern bakery probably makes the finest pitas on the island. Make use of #BurppleBeyond to enjoy one-for-one Fill Free Sandwich ($8), where delightfully fluffy pita is stuffed with freshly fried golden brown falafel balls and smooth hummus. Go for the Special Fresh Hummus Dish ($13) that comes with two pitas. Choose from their assortment of pita flavours such as the Zaโatar Herb Pita ($2.20) or Spicy New Orleans ($2.20), but their simple Wholemeal ($1) is just as satisfying. Pro tip: take away hummus and pita for prolonged enjoyment!

Drop by this pastry kiosk just a short walk from Bendemeer MRT for affordable fresh bakes. Their indulgent Mochi Croissants (from $3) are chewy and flaky on the outside and packed with creamy fillings. Try their Earl Grey ($5) loaded with sweet Earl Grey cream, otherwise, their Ferrero Rocher ($5) is a great chocolatey alternative. For something zesty, get the Lemon Curd ($5). Grab the Peanut Butter & Jam Croissant ($5) to go for the next great breakfast.

Book a table in advance at this popular Bukit Merah zi char spot that is great for celebrations with friends. Get their signature Moonlight Hor Fun (from $7) that sees flat rice noodles fried with squid and lap cheong, and topped with a fresh raw egg yolk begging to be mixed in. Also good is their Salted Egg Crab ($60) with delicious gravy that you'll want to mop up with their Steamed Man Tou ($6 for 6 pieces). Complete your meal with the Mingzhu Roll ($2 per roll) and the Coffee Pork Ribs ($8). Since it's a celebration, bring your own wine (corkage at $5 per bottle!) to pair with the food!

Keep this spot in mind for group outings. Go straight for the Nasi Ambeng ($29.90 for 2pax, $50.80 for 4 pax) that features a mountain of rice surrounded on all sides by bergedils, milky chicken curry and a succulent, slightly spicy rendang. Burppler Jayson Yeo recommends heading over before 8pm as the food sells out pretty early.

This will make any coriander-hater, consider coriander. It's so refreshing, well-balanced acidity with a tinge of sweetness. The coriander concoction is not bitter, nor that soapy taste. Must-try starter.
