This is one of the dishes that you don’t really have much to say other than it’s hella delicious. • Tucked in quiet corner in seedy cuppage, Keira does a ridiculous Uni Pasta ($38) Served chilled, it’s rich, creamy and bursting with umami. The addition of ikura pearls do nothing to balance the flavors of the sea but heck I ain’t complaining. Best ordered to share.

For an Upbeat Spot for Groups Community favourite Keria racks up points for its underrated but oh so delicious Japanese fare. Get the value-for-money Tempura Set Meal, which comes with expertly batter-fried morsels AND super fresh sashimi. A group of three to four is perfect for this spot, so you'll have tummy space to share the addictive Mentaiko Cabbage ($8) and luxe Uni Spaghetti ($21) too! Photo by Burppler Wei Zhi Chiang

Quite reluctant to reveal on social media but good things must share right? This, by far is our most underrated Japanese izakaya. Prices are within the affordable range and their menus were all in Japanese until they realized that they should add in English translations for customers like us 😂 Uni, tamagoyaki, ikura and fresh thick slices of scallops, yellowtail, snapper, tuna, mackerel, octopus were overflowing the bowl. We had to share one bowl of chirashi as we also had the Mentaiko pasta (their portions are 👍🏼). We assure you that you wouldn’t be disappointed if you’re looking for an authentic Japanese restaurant in town. • Chirashi bowl SGD30.00

Back to The Salted Plum and I just cannot resist from ordering the burnt chilli chicken. What’s even better now is that they are offering all-day rice bowls and the Burnt Chilli Chicken 2.0 Bowl is priced at $10. If you are new to The Salted Plum, this is a must order as you will get a generous portion of charred chicken thigh that has been marinated with Szechuan pepper and grilled Chinese chives. For this rice bowl, it comes with a base of short grain rice and is topped with a sous-vide egg to give that extra creaminess. •••••••••••••••••••• 📍The Salted Plum 3 Temasek Boulevard, Suntec City West Wing, Unit B1-122A, Singapore 038983

Taiwanese Food Well deserved Food King Food. Really worth the 3 Stars! Everyone should go ASAP if you have Shopback Go/Burpple Beyond as their 1-4-1 Ala-carte menu is ceasing this 31 Dec. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We ordered the -Tripple Cooked Yam -Burnt Chilli Chicken 2.0 -Pork Chop and opt for Shiny Rice to go along. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Bagus eh. Their chicken 2.0 really pack a punch of spiciness after swallowing. It is good. Then, their pork chop. Its really my kind of meat to fat ratio and last but not least, the taro is wow. I don't normally eat taro in pieces but this is gold. Iike how it is crunchy yet soft on the inside. I will pay even if it is $5. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It's pretty worth it without the 1-4-1 but I am sharing this quickly so you guys can give it a try over the next 4 days. We only paid $8.50 for all of these!!! Rating: 10/10

Har Cheong Gai Chicken Cutlet ($10) One of the dishes that i liked from :Dual is the Har Cheong Gai (prawn paste) Chicken Cutlet. The chicken was crispy and juicy, just a tad on the saltier side. But i’m a fan of stronger flavours anyway, so its not too much of an issue for me. Definitely recommend this as a side order for sharing! This cafe is a merchant on Burpple Beyond (1-for-1 mains) as well, so save more when you dine here!

Mentaiko Pasta ($15) Saw a review by a fellow burppler that this was one of the worst mentaiko pasta he ever tried, and i totally agree. Presentation wise it certainly looked good, and the pasta was quite well cooked but taste wise it was so bland with probably only the slightest hint of mentaiko taste if i’m being totally honest. I had a much better time with their other dishes which I’ll be sharing more about in my other reviews.

Salmon Grain Bowl Vs Tom Yum Seafood Pasta If you are looking for a place to relax & chill while enjoying some asian fusion dishes, you may want to drop by @dualcafe.sg which is conveniently located along Arab Street, within 10 mins walk from Bugis MRT Station. Between the two dishes, Tom Yum Seafood Pasta & Mirin Salmon Grain Bowl, I had a difficult time deciding which is my favourite main! The Tom Yum Seafood Pasta was tasty & flavourful! Loving the pretty presentation of the dish as well! While the salmon grain bowl has the best option of having a combination of both salad & brown rice, allowing individuals to enjoy a healthy diet.
