Cake set came with black coffee. Asked for milk on the side with no extra charge. Chose carrot cake. Very nice. Had crunchy walnuts and raisins inside the soft moist cake. A little on the sweet side, but spices were on point.
Chose regular coffee and requested for milk. Strawberry shortcake was soft and fluffy. Sweetness was reduced by the sour strawberries.
Quite a large pc, stuffed full of choc cream. Very chocolatey, thou on the sweet side. Perfect with tea.
Lovely aromatic tea. This was tea in a cup, not in a teapot, but they refill hot water upon request.
Aside from their pasta and sandwich selections that I would usually go for, one of the new favourites would be their Mac & Cheese with Chicken & Bacon Bits. The size of the pot should not be underestimated, because the S$13.90 main course was quite rich, thanks to the cream, the cheese and the bacon that layered that familiar savoury taste.
That said, it would be advisable to stir and mix the cream and cheese well. They may seem watery at first, but the good thing was that the sauce would reduce eventually due to the residual heat from the pot. Failure to mix would result in a piece of solidified mozzarella cake as the dish would have slowly cooled down.
Two hot pots of gourmet tea: refreshingly peaceful sencha and robust fragrant breakfast tea.
Let it sit for a while then sip slowly.
