Bursting Meatball Noodles A wide variety of dishes to choose from the menu in Go Noodle. The bursting meatball is always my choice along with a bowl of silky thin noodles (RM10.40)! The chilli pairs nicely with the hearty bowl of noodles. Always a good choice! Service is moderately paced.

Rice Porridge RM1.80 | Chai Poh Omelette RM2 | Kiam Chai RM6 | Tau Fu RM6 | Ice Barley RM2 There’s nothing that soothes the soul better than porridge. Pop in here for a dose of rice porridge with various side dishes. From braised pork and duck to bbq pork and spare ribs, the choices are ample and will have you coming back again. Food in frame — the requisite chai poh omelette, kiam chai boey (stewed sour/spicy vegetables) and my favourite tau fu with minced pork. Most of the dishes here are prepped early in the morning and will be heated up upon order, just like how it’s done when Ah Ma takes over the kitchen. Free refills of rice and porridge, but it’s so filling you’ll probably get two meals out of just one bowl. Truly, it’s the simplest things that taste the best. #burpple

For Consistently Good Tonkotsu Ramen Swing by this well-loved ramen spot for a night of good Japanese grub and fusion sides with the family. Get the Shiromaru Special (RM31.90), a beautiful bowl of ultra-thin noodles served with IPPUDO’s original tonkotsu broth and topped with salted soft-boiled egg, pork loin and pork belly. Roti Canai (RM1.50) Normal, plain Roti Canai. When you feel like it, even the simplest things can satisfy your taste buds. Their dhal curry here is thick, not watery and quite flavourful. Yum!

Daging Masak Kicap (RM6) A piece of beef costs RM6. The piece is not that big so it's up to you to judge if it's worth it or not. I just love how tender their beef is.

Roti Pisang (RM4) I was trying it with Dhall.. Then without.. Then with.. They both just seem so right!

Sweet And Savoury In One I'd go so far to say this is 8.5/10 which is fairly decent considering it's only 20 over bucks 👍🏽 The Honey Butter Garlic Pork is so honey-ly sweet and so butteryyy! I always wrap my BBQ meat with lettuce and eat it with garlic, pepper and gochujang. But it's such a waste eating with its cause you can't really taste the buttery and sweetness from it... It's so nice eating on its own.

Kimchi Cheese Fried Rice *attempt failed* Whenever I'm in a Korean restaurant in mood for carbs, Kimchi Fried Rice it is (RM19.90) comes with seaweed soup and refillable banchan. I was craving for some cheesy rice (in my mind was thinking of fried rice surrounded by cheese ring like those dalgakbi), so requested to add on with cheese (another additional RM5). At the end, when they said cheese is added it's just your usual kraft cheddar cheese mixed in which was super dissapointing. The stickiness of the fried rice is on point and stir fried with tons of pork cube. Hence it is super filling. It certainly isn't "sour" enough to my liking to be called kimchi fried rice.

Sham Tseng Taufu 深井豆腐 (RM20) Besides overrated & pricey (judged on the portion), I can't find any better description for that...

For Chinese Claypot Dishes This one-of-a-kind Chinese restaurant is famed for their specialty claypot dishes and there are many, so mark this down for a family dinner. Your experience here should begin with the centerpiece seen at every table: the Claypot Catfish With Spicy Bean Paste Broth (RM48). Spoon over the savoury, spicy broth to best enjoy the flavours of this fleshy fish. Tastemaker Sok Chien also swears by their Nutty Buttermilk Chicken (from RM18), also served in a claypot — delightful fried chicken covered in creamy buttermilk glaze and a sprinkling of nuts. With two meat orders down, complete your meal with the Stir-Fried Romaine Lettuce (RM20), which surprises the palate with bits of crispy pork lard for supreme flavours. Superb Chinese Food @ Kepong! Discovered this dinner place 2 weeks ago and here I am again, because it's just too addictive! Should I come again next week? 🤔

Pork Chop Noodle Soup (RM22.30) Their noodles are handmade. I really like their Pork Chop especially the end or side bits. Yum! The soup was quite flavourful because of the pork chop even though it was cooked separately and was most probably just added in before serving.

Pork Xiao Long Bao (RM22.60) RM14.20 for 6 pieces and RM22.60 for 10 pieces. Maybe it just wasn't my day. The skin of the dumpling was dry. When I bit into it, there was very little soup in it. Bright side: The fillings inside were quite flavourful and the meat was tender.

Mini Golden Custard Egg Bun (RM9.30) Well, they really were mini. It was sooooo small. One basket contains 3 pieces. Honestly, I'm not sure if it was this small before or they have changed their portions. But you could really taste the egg yolk, it wasn't the powdery type and it was nice, but it was just really small.

Lunch Set (RM14.90) The chain bbq restaurant has lunch sets at RM14.90! Who knew? For a small bento of pork or beef slices, vegetables and noodles, plus a free glass of green tea, the price point is very reasonable though I can’t help but feel it’s such because they skimp on the real work. The meat was served bare, sans marination or seasoning and the vegetables looked to be nearing their expiry. Service too, was lacking. Thankfully, the chef-recommended (what chef?) assorted Fried Mushrooms (RM7.90) were tasty enough to save the meal.

Garoupa Fish Head Noodle Don't be deceived by it's huge sized bowl! Their small portion is actually meant for 1 person with generous chunks of fish head flesh :9 I ordered the Garoupa Fish BeeHoon (because the staff said it has less bone and yes because I'm lazy haha, RM22). The soup is thick and creamy, really good. Remember to order their fish head noodle with BeeHoon because beehoon will absorb the soup better than any other type of noodle (they offer YeeMee as a choice too) :) Finish it off by trying their Umpla juice (Kedondong juice, RM4.5) Tip: cash only, child friendly, air-conditioned. They close bi-weekly every Thursday.
