Small desert shop in rangoon road. Typical ice cream shop menu with waffles, and some cakes. Had the somewhat newly trending oneh oneh waffles with charcoal softserve ($13). Really has that pandan flavor in the light and crispy waffle, served with gula malaka sauce and coconut flakes as well. 4.5/5

second time here at The Cold Pantry, and the waffles were still as flavourful! after a hectic morning, these hit all the right spots ☺

me and my friends headed down to the cold pantry because of the blazing temperature and we were extremely satisfied with the food, both aesthetically and the taste! 🙌🏻 the softserve was smooth, creamy and delicious while the waffles were perfectly baked and had a " cake- like " texture 😋🍴

The charcoal vanilla soft serve ice cream was smooth but hardly had any taste - more like just cold sugary cream. But it went well with the waffle (mix of hot & cold) & brought out the root beer taste slightly

Pretty inovative of them to rest the latter on a cookie so as not to turn the waffle soggy.

The Cold Pantry's iconic tower of darkness has been the subject of many Instagram posts.
Interestingly, I found the charcoal vanilla soft serve to have a hint of root beer surface at the end of each mouthful, not unlike a reckless passenger who dashes into the train just before the doors close. Not sure if that's just my overactive imagination at work 😜
Pairing very well with it was the waffle - it's the airily light and crunchy kind that I like.

Warm banana pound cake & charcoal vanilla soft serve. It's weird why I would order a banana cake when my house churns out one every other week. 🤷🏻‍♀️ A bit on the sweet side but it's unavoidable for pound cakes I guess. The charcoal taste from the soft serve only hits you after you finish half a cup. On the other note, sure love the cosy feel in their new space! The previous space was a bit on the squeezy side.

Was telling my parents that I feel like having dessert but will just go home and snack on fruits. But they brought me here instead 🤗🤗 Ppl ard me always show me how much they love me by feeding me. 😜 And that's the reason I can't lose weight 🤣

Just near the Old Hen Coffee Bar which is more crowded.
This café is know for their Chocolate Root Beer Waffle and Charcoal Vanilla Ice Cream, but I decided to try other food in the menu. This Banana Pound Cake caught my attention. It was dense and you can really taste the banana flavour. Moist, that you don't feel cheated of just chewing air all the time! 😁 It was not overly sweet nor bland. I chose to partner it with Bailey's Coffee Ice Cream which complemented well with the cake. Surely, I'll be back for food and the ambiance. 💕
