Fruit Bingsu

After all the BBQ carbon shit going in the tummy, It's time for some detox. My gf and I was really skeptical of bingsu cause the last bingsu was horrible but this bingsu, fuu... my first impression of bingsu is just shaved ice, blend shaved ice like cendol but this bingsu infused with milk and some stuff, good stuff! It tasted really good! I can just eat shaved ice man thats how good it was. As for the fruits, it's just fresh good fruits complimenting the fruit bingsu. This cost a whopping RM18.90 but it's worth it cause 2-3 people can dig into this. Anyways if they just had plain bingsu, no fruits I think they still can sell it thats how good the shaved ice is.

This weekend's dessert pick was at villa ju bakery owned by a Korean couple. I typically go for oreos or injeolmi bingsu but i decided to give this fruity number (RM18.90) a try instead. I was pleasantly surprised and it was actually quite refreshing, after a bbq meal. This place has two floors and a ton of Korean pastries as well which i will come back to try!

Not wanting to overwhelmed ourselves with too much ice, me and a few friends shared a friend-sized Fruits Bingsu (RM16.90), that came topped with a colorful assortment of fruits and shaved ice underneath. While this was an eye candy, it felt otherwise, taste wise. Apart from the watermelon and kiwi cuts, the rest of the fruits tasted meager. The texture of the shaved ice too felt inconsistent - some were fine, some were plain coarse.

Living in Malaysia is of no joke. Sometimes the scorching sun is driving us crazy. But fruit Bingsu @ villa ju ( used to be known as nabe cafe) comes just in time to cure the "hot madness". It comes with friend size (rm14.90), family size (RM27.90) and party size (RM39.90)-> super giant.. Trust me.. It's hugeeeee!!! ( maybe even for 10 pax)... ~
