Seeing the lack of mains on their menu, I was pretty bummed at first but 51 Tras’ cakes and pastries more than made up for it!

From Tigerlily Patisserie, the unassuming Laksa Quiche ($8) packed a good amount of flavour. The uber soft coconut laksa custard tasted identical to the classic beloved dish - super lemak and not too spiced. Studded with bits of prawn and fish cake, the quiche also had a great medley of textures with the buttery pastry shell which was not too thick. It was a nice balance of flaky and crumbly.
