That much money worth of Wagyu better be good! The best cut was the Akami (lean cut belly), which was packed with flavour and scored best on the melt-in-your-mouth factor. The rest, whether it was the sirloin, brisket or chuck were hits-and-misses. Since those are sliced very thin, I suspect it would’ve been better cooked by a pro than by customers - yet those were the ones they left to us to grill (only because when they asked we said no need lol).

The individual saucers of meat salt and dipping sauce are not to be ignored! They’re really good with the meat.

I enjoyed my time at Shin Nihon the last time I was here because of the tip-top service and how they handled the grill so I’ll highly recommend requesting for them to do all the cooking!
