This version here has a slight twist with the addition of hawthorn and Mei Kuei Lu (rose essence wine), this was sprayed on the dish after it was served. Quite gimmicky in my opinion. Also perhaps the flavors were too delicate and possibly escaped my taste buds.

Though I do appreciate the lean meat used here and how it is not excessively battered with just a thin layer of crispy skin with just the right amount of sauce.
