Colour was pretty deceiving here though as the truffle flavour was vaguely distinctand mild (not sure if it’s my tastebuds that was affected by a cold I am currently down with) and lacks the lingering aroma I was looking forward to. Mostly an umami flavour with seaweed mixed in within the congee, that also comes with a thick, risotto-alike creamy texture that I adore. The set also comes with complimentary condiments (feel free to request for a top up FOC) : kimchi, shredded beef slices in soy sauce, chilli paste and chilled pink radish soup. Not supposed to be eating beef (due to religious reasons) but I accidentally ate it without knowing, which was actually pretty good, tender and flavourful ; in fact my favourite complement here for the porridge! 🤭🤫 .

2️⃣Shrimp porridge 새우죽 [9,000KRW ~> $10.80]
Paling much in comparison to the truffle flavour, the only great takeaway to this flavour was the generous amount of shrimps within. Porridge (or rather congee) leaned towards a lighter flavour profile - sad to admit it was actually bland for me that I had to request for another serving of that chilli paste (kinda like a korean version of sambal chilli) to add some flavour to the porridge. Nevertheless, this would be a good choice to go for on a rainy day or if you are sick and in need of a clean, light diet.
