Soft, springy and chewy mochi snowballs, that’s the size of your palm! The texture is super squishy and cute, I enjoyed its mouthfeel as it has a good balance of chewiness and stickiness. I wish it didn’t come in these cupcake paper cups as the mochi tends to stick to the corners a little, but I think the mochi would be too difficult to pick up otherwise since it’s so soft.
The snowball mochi has different fillings, from classic flavours such as chocolate or strawberry, to more interesting and uncommon flavours such as dragonfruit, kiwi, or even durian. We got the mango and grape flavours, which had mochi on the outside and fresh cream + fresh fruit pieces on the inside. Quite refreshing and satisfying to eat, slightly on the sweeter side but that’s up my sweet tooth alley! The grape mochi was slightly uncooked at the bottom, that’s my only issue with it.
The place is a takeaway shop though there’s a tiny stool at the corner of the store. We visited on a weekday evening. They had a few bakery items on display but not all the flavours of mochi were readily available - you had to wait for them to make it for you if you wanted something else. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
