Asia Grand has been around for ages. My parents have been visiting them since they were in the old Hotel Asia. Perhaps it’s nostalgia but i never pass up an opportunity to visit.

Order their signature roast pork ($12). It comes neatly arranged, perhaps not in the fancy presentation that many restaurants adhere too but you get rewarded by thick sturdy cubes of meat layered by 2 inches of glistening bouncy fat under a mantle of painfully crunchy skin.

There’s nothing too fancy or avant-garde about this place, but Asia Grand in my opinion is at its best when its simplest, where the quality of ingredients are allowed to shine through.
